Thanks for your comment. Much of what you have written is absolutely on point. I think this jam was a great experience for us and we learned a lot from it to improve next time. Personally I liked your game the most and I think you pretty much nailed it. 

I like the idea with the shape shifting. Overall a very fun game to play!
