ClueDay is a daily word puzzle for people who like their clues a little cryptic with a mix of trivia.
Every case is a six letter mystery word and five clues. You get the first clue to make your first guess. Guess wrong and the next clue unlocks, and you can keep guessing till you find the word of the day or you've used all your clues.
The clues are written one case at a time, borrowing from cryptic crossword tricks. Anagrams, hidden words, reversals, and the occasional bit of misdirection and a whole lot of pop culture. They run hardest to easiest, so clue five is nearly a giveaway. Go check it out on https://clueday.itch.io/clueday.
About this version
This cases are from the ClueDay.com archive, and you can keep pulling new ones with "Try a different case". Finish one and you will see the real leaderboard for that case, so you can find out how you did against everyone who played it when it ran.
The daily game lives at clueday.com. A brand new case every day at midnight, plus streaks, past cases, and the chance to submit your own word.
How to play
1. Read the clue and guess a six letter word.
2. Letters turn green in the right spot, orange if the letter is in the word but elsewhere.
3. Wrong guess, new clue. You get five of each.
