Bump
Project has some good momentum but we still very much need assistance with some character sprites & animations. Sprites are Pixelart around 32x32, so being comfortable with that resolution would be a huge help
To reach me about this feel free to get in touch here or - even better - on Discord at CLS_Drop (Aler5445).
Thanks!
Edit: Bumping, currently mainly looking for "GBA res" pixelart artists/animators
Hiya!
I'm a pretty inexperienced dev challenging myself to see a project through to the end.
Level design, storytelling, systems design and code, music etc I can figure out by myself. Art however is sadly not in my skillset, so I figured I would ask here.
I'm ideally looking for someone who would like some practice at making assets for 2D games (pixelart sounds cool but I'm open to other ideas). Current assignment would be a simple spritesheet for the player character (young dragon, think Spyro or Smolder) as I'm tired of looking at shapes in Unity and think that some art would make the project start coming to life and fuel the creative juices. Any further art would be cool but I *don't plan to pay for art at this stage* so any additional commitment would be up to you.
I'll say upfront I don't have high expectations for the future of this project as it's mostly for practice, but there is a world in which it takes off. In this case I would likely reach out looking for more art and happily start talking about paying for it. Ideally at the very least I'd like to share the project with friends & family (and potentially putting it somewhere) when finished. Development is is still in the very early stages so I'm happy to discuss art direction to make your life easier and your practice more productive where possible.
Not too sure what else to add right now, so if you think this sounds like fun and something you could be interested in, please reach out to me at Cls_Drop (aler5445) on Discord!
