Hi everyone! I'm building my first game and would love some fresh eyes on an early build.
Hold the Line is a browser card-combo tower defense. Your cards sit on a looping conveyor belt and fire one by one at the launch gate. What each card does depends on its neighbours:
- Bellows boosts the next card.
- Mirror echoes the previous one.
- Two Storm cards side by side make Chain Bolt strike twice.
Same five cards, different order, very different results.

▶ Play in your browser (free, about 10–20 minutes per run): https://claredu.itch.io/hold-the-line
What I'd most like to know:
- Were the rules clear within your first run? Where did you get stuck?
- When a run ended, did you want to play again? Why or why not?
- Did any card feel useless or overpowered?
- Pace: too slow, too fast, or about right?
There's a one-minute feedback form in the game (it pops up after your second run), or just reply here. Every answer, including "I got bored at wave 3", genuinely helps. The game supports English and 中文.
Thanks for playing!
