This is an engine cut from some of the latest features I have implemented to develop an RPG, I'm interested in an artist that can translate some of my ideas an collaborate with me.
I think your work has a lot of soul and we could have fun together. I would appreciate exchanging some ideas of collaboration if you are interested.

Hi!
I’m working on an illustrated interactive narrative, I wrote a novel recently and I also illustrated some things. Right now I'm orking on the first 2 scenes of the game, one being a cinematic and the other made of hevier player interactions.
I'm taking the project as an artistic experiment and I'm forming what I want to do with it as I go.
I don't have a plan and I'm interested in working with other perspectives and ideas.
Right now I code, draw/illustrate, record VO, pick sound effects and music, game design, write, yada, yada. I have time and a job to support my craft but I still try to dedicate at least 40h per week to my project.
I'm not asking for similar dedication, what i would like is to present the project to whoever is interested and try to figure out a way to work together.
I'm 37 and I'm an understandable person, a lot of people question why do I even want help some times as I can do everything on my own.
True, but I have a feeling that collaborating with other people would make this project much more interesting than creating it alone with me as the only source of perspective.
I'm also Brazilian and I live in Germany right now.
This is a demo of what I worked on till now in the past month:
Hey all, this is a demo from last week, the dialogs are still all placeholder.
For the first scene my focus was adding certain effects I wanted to have from my physical story board.
From minute one onwards it's, my regular game scene, I wanted to interact with elements, store them an change the state of the tiny red button.
The X marking the background were part of my trying to place my interactables in the correct place while resizing the screen :

Fun game, I would give the items a clearer way to identify rarity, like a full colored border and a grayed out items for the broken ones.
Some utility for selling items and breaking them like
Ctrl + S - Sell in the city
Ctrl + D - destroy hovered item
some hotkey to use the potion and teleport back to the city would be good too.
Ctrl + Arrows - Would be interesting to navigate the map without using the mouse.
I believe in general the game would be more entertaining if we had a way to play it using the keyboard more often and leaving the mouse for picking items.
I would even go a next level: Instead of all the junk items, when you clear the room, you have a couple items to pick from and you can hotkey them to pick or pick and equip/replace equipment. But I know this deviates from the game style!
Fun game.
