We are a team of two consisting of a Godot programmer and a SFX artist. We are both fairly new to GameJams, but both have experience in game development. If you're interested feel free to contact on me in discord: choppingslime

Hey, I have 1 year of experience as Godot Programmer, released one game so far. I have not done any jams yet toh! I have met with a sound designer/sfx artist already, and we're looking for an artist. If you'd like to join us text me on discord: choppingslime

sure, sending you a friend request rn!

Hey, im a solo dev from italy as well! I've worked on 1 game so far, wich is accessible in beta access here on itch.io. I worked solo on the project, but I specialize mostly in programming. (I use Godot). I have the same Timezone as you ofc. I sent you a friend req on discord if you're interested!

Hey, I've been using godot full time for a year, and so far I've published one game.
I dont have any experience in game jams, nor in teamwork, but I'd love to join a team!

My name is Mario and I'm from italy.

you gonna be convicted for murder, cause i cant stop laughing

yeah if walking into a "wall" and pressing jump it sort of doesnt jump - this bug has been there for like 3 months, never got my hands on fixing it lmao
Thanks!

Hey, thanks for trying out Feed the Beaver!

I agree, the current balance makes the game very grindy.
Originally, I wanted it to feel like a long adventure where the “grind” stayed interesting, but after some playtesting I changed my mind. I’ll probably remove at least half of the items (maybe more) and lower the prices for what’s left. The game will end up shorter, but I think it’ll be a lot more enjoyable.

Platform bug in Crystal Woods:
Thanks for pointing that out, I’ve added it to the top of my Trello priority list.

Tree attack miss rate:
That’s interesting... in theory, attacks should always land right in front of the gnome and hit any tree there. The problem might be certain trees having weird hitboxes (I haven’t tested them all yet). I’ll check into this, thanks for letting me know!

Portal prices:
Yep, they’re grindy too. I’ll be lowering those prices along with the other balance changes.

If you want immediate updates on development, consider joining the Discord. I’m still new to game development and to using Itch.io, so right now I mainly post patch notes and updates on Discord. Do you think I should also start posting smaller updates here on Itch.io? (I plan on moving to steam once the game has enough content for a trailer)

Thanks again for the feedback!

new playtest in a couple days
