Hi everyone! 馃憢
This is my first devlog, so I鈥檇 like to briefly share what I鈥檓 working on and where the project currently stands.
I鈥檓 building a small desktop pet game in my spare time.
Instead of living inside a game window, the dog lives directly on your desktop and quietly keeps you company while you work or study.
So far, development has been focused on the core experience:
- Free movement on the desktop without interfering with normal computer use
- Simple interactions like playing with toys and going for walks
- Gradually unlocking hand-drawn illustration pages over time
The game is being developed using Godot, and this is my first complete game project.
Most of the work so far has been about learning and iteration, especially finding the right balance between presence and subtlety.
At the moment, the project is still in early development and private testing.
A public demo is planned for around January鈥揊ebruary.
I鈥檒l keep updating this devlog as development continues.
Thanks for reading, and feel free to share any thoughts 馃檪
