This game is a nice way to end the winter.

A poetic game! Loved it!

A beautiful game and getting help from someone in times of need was very important for me and in general. I love that the animals talk to you in a helpful way on the first day.

Thanks for playing and your comment. Its hard to tell if the message of the game was heard by the people who played and if I should continue making games like this.

Knowing making games from my heart can connect with someone made my day and its affirming.

Thanks for playing and your comment again!

It was nice the explore the environment and talk to the animals. Nice game!

I liked the bitsy music!

I loved this! Lovely art and story and I relate to parts of it.

I loved the game and it gave me some ideas for my own games. Thanks for this wonderful game!

Beautiful art! I wish it was longer but I understand its made for the jam.

Yes, complicated.

Yeah I liked your project and I wonder if I can make something like that one day.

Thanks for your comment! Nice to know I'm not alone.

a lovely story!

Beautiful game! I have a cat but I still got emotional while playing.

I relate to the story and character. Love the art in the game.

Nice music! And nice first bitsy game!

Love the art!

This was a good time! Lovely titles.

beautiful writing and a beautiful game!

I found this jam in a newsletter I follow and decided to join even though I have barely read or have written any poetry and I had a great time making my game. I spent most of it at poets.org reading poems and I feel so glad to have a new art medium to discover and express myself with.

Thank you!

Yay for a new kitten!

I'm glad cat owners connect with this game. Thanks for playing!

Thanks! And thanks for checking out my game. I hope you have fun.

Love this. I'm making a poetry building game too for the 'poetry inspired ttrpg jam' . This forces you to be creative every line.

my poem. Im still a noob so its not that good.

I used a d10. I choose 2 words to start my poem and the poem I was inspired by was  Shuttle by Noah Warren

dreaming wilderness

The wolf sings softly

birds howl

the trees run, the mountains run

There's a man who wants nothing and is well

Thanks for playing! And I'm glad you connected with it :)

Lovely game! It reminds me of my time with my game boy color which was my first handheld. Great first game!

Thanks! Check out the 'bitsy' tag on itch to see more games like this if you're interested.

Yes. I sometimes I feel really lucky to have him around after I think he won't be here forever. Thanks for playing :)

Here's my picture. Loved the idea of the game and gives me ideas for my own short games.

Great job on your first game! Loved the art for the trees!

Thanks for reminding to not forget my dream! Happy new year!

Love the art of the game! The light rays are cool. I wish there a simple way to create 3D art like this to use for godot or in other engines.

I relate to the post about self compassion. I just read a book on it and I can't believe how I was before. I had to be prefect or I was a failure. I treat myself better now days. Love these types of decks!

Cool. I'm still working on my art. Might post later.

Yes I'm using shadow cljs https://github.com/thheller/shadow-cljs

You run the release command and it builds a production build. Then you zip your public directory and upload it to itch. I just tested it and you need to use relative paths to get your assets to load when running on itch.

When developing with shadow it starts a web server for you and it automatically builds when you save a file.

You can use other build tools too like figwheel but I think shadow is more maintained.

Yeah its fun doing it from scratch.

Cool. Looks like an interesting game. Found a videos of it here for anyone interested.

Thanks. Yes I made them myself. The art is made with watercolors traditionally (not with a paint program). I was thinking of not using them since it's hard to make animations this way but I think I will try. Best of luck to you too.

Just wanted to show what I made before the jam.

The features implemented before the jam are: basic player movement, image loading and drawing, audio loading and playing, canvas resizing.

I want to make something like this instead of a normal blog now. Lots of cool stuff decker can do.

Thanks for making this! It reminded me that I want to not forget my Nepali ( the language of Nepal). I learnt it as a kid and I forgot it as an adult and had to relearn it. That was a few years ago and I'm inspired to practice again.

Thanks for the advice! I'll do the writing exercise with my favorite narrative games as well. The Ctrl+paint video library looks great and I'll go through that. I'll check out all the other speed paints and channels you linked too.

Thanks again!
