The web version is currently quite buggy. I recommend playing for downloaded file.

If you're playing 1.0.5, the hook will make you able to remove your armbinder/yoke/cuff collar chain restraints.

And also empowers your lockpick use on restraints too.

If you're in stage 5 and got the key with chain, you probably defeated Masked orc and can escape the stage from east northern side of the map?

The goddess statue fulls your health and removes any kind of status effects including restraints.
