Yup. Coins are useless right now, but I plan to push it on mobile and add features and stuff you can spend the coins to get. Thanks for the feedback.

Good game. Not much to do to be fair, but it plays well. Since it's your first jam, I'd say finishing your idea without bugs is an achievement you should be proud of. Now, look ahead to building upon it.

You can check out mine - https://itch.io/jam/brainless-mini-game-jam/rate/4177328
appreciate the effort.

Nice submission Klover, I enjoyed it. I'd appreciate your feedback on my game when you see this: https://itch.io/jam/brainless-mini-game-jam/rate/4177328
Thanks.

Amazing game! I particular like how you introduced stuff step by step and not all at once, made it easier to understand.
Hole 7 was very difficult for me though but overall I enjoyed it.

Great work fnaf. Your effort was indeed telling. Keep it up. 🌟

I'm not a big horror person, hell anything remotely close to horror scares me haha but I did my best to pull through. For some reason I couldn't get past the final boss even after pushing the health down to 0 (but reading the comments, I see there's a flying Koopa I also needed to beat).

It's clear how much effort went into this, and your passion is telling; keep going!

(just...don't do horror games for my poor heart. i kid, I kid)

Also, concerning the flying Koopa, I think it's because it's own Health bar was not clear to see, maybe that's why some of us didn't know it needed to be attacked too.

Done, nice one!

Thanks Golden Monkey 🌟

Hahaha Got it! I'll experiment with both and see which one works best; I just wanted something that could stick to the head of players, something they can remember the game by and sometimes all it takes is a recurrent voice.

Thank you sapphire 🌟

Nice game. It is a different mechanic that could take some getting used to, but surprisingly fun when you do.

"45mins before 2 hours before --" my goodness hahahahaha
Amazing entry! I managed to complete and see the "checkmark" gimmick in the end there.
Fascinating all around. Good work team.

Will do sapphire, will await your feedback. I'm currently playing games now so let's try yours. 👍🏾

Okay this was really, really good!

The mother's voice is stuck in my head now

"Samantha, you should be sleeping" :)

Amazing entry, do you have any plans to add more to  the game after the game?

Haha yes, I noticed that too, but it was too late, and I never wanted to make changes while the jam judging period was ongoing. I'll correct as soon as it's done. The pink will match with the purple on the canvas. Thanks for your feedback blueberry-pi 👌🏾

On it, you should find my comments and feedback soon

Done, I left what I feel is great feedback, pleasee read it.

Feels so chill!!!

You know, in my opinion, one of the trickiest things to achieve with a game is invoking some specific feeling/emotion. Yours has managed it with such a simple concept. I like it!

As for the plane, it's difficult to dodge the bullets because the plane moves slowly, to fix this, while many would say you should make the plane move faster (and they wouldn't be wrong...), I think make the bullets slower instead. This way you preserve the chill feel on the game. If the plane moves fast, it becomes...frantic? and I think that'll contradict with the backgroudn music and the game will lose it's appeal.

Thanks Kossainis, and yes, it was originally intended for mobile haha, I just wanted to test the concept if it's fun. I will likely take it over to mobile and add some more cool stuff, see how far I can take it. 🙏🙏🏾

Amazing game!

I like the visuals, feels special.

It was hard to keep a memory of what to do with the lasers because the info was fed to me all at once. That could frustrate your players, or just have them dash through the whole thing, ignoring damage, which takes away the skill aspect.

What should help is introducing the lasers one at a time as you explain what to do. Trickle feed this information.

Playing, I'll rate and leave a comment when done.

Hi guys, another day, another feedback play time for me. Please give my game a chance https://chenwie-asang.itch.io/frantic-orbs , rate and offer unfiltered feedback Your words will be super helpful.
I will also rate and share my feedback with the games that notify me here. Thanks. Looking forward to all the amazing entries !

Gave you game a shot (hehe) and rated. Powerful entry! I could do with your feedback as well. Thanks

Clearly a project done with passion! Impressive entry.
My only concern is the heavy/intense camera shake; otherwise, everything is spot on! 👍👍🏾

Appreciate it 👍🏾

Yup I plan to build for mobile with more features, mini-games, progression and stuff. Thanks for the feedback.

Gave your game a shot. Please find my feedback listed. It should prove useful I feel. Do check out my own if you can. Neon Frantic Orbs. I'd appreciate your unfiltered feedback 👌👌🏾

Nice entry, Asteroids are always satisfying to shatter hehehe.
I think we  can make the controls better on this one. The WASD didn't work, but arrows did. Also, I think you should use arrows for movement only and the mouse coordinates for rotation, this will make gameplay targeting and dodging super satisfying

Nice game! You captured the old school feel quite well. I didn't know the yellow bar was reloading and thought all I had to do was survive haha.

Awesome, Thanks MIncDev, I feel more motivated to give mobile a go!

I do enjoy these type of games sometimes. 19XX, Akai Katana are examples, especially when they have huge influx of bullets to test my reflexes with lol. But yes, solid entry! it took a while to test because it was quite heavy, I'd admit hahaha.

The gameplay is good, but it's quite difficult to dodge incoming bullets, which made it tough for me to survive longer but for a Solo dev first jam I think you did quite well!

Nice entry! it reminded me of a puzzle game I played on Switch a couple of years back. I enjoyed it! It was more challenging than this one but the concept is similar. I've forgotten the title, if I remember I'll add a comment. it could serve as good reference material should you wish to take the game further.

Edit: I remembered the title - It's "Panel de Pon", super fun game!

Yup. I do have some ideas written down, I'll be willing to try.
Thanks for your feedback!

Hahaha Great game. I had difficulties playing with my laptop without the mouse but that's minor. I enjoyed it.

Appreciate the feedback Waden and awesome suggestion. I do love Rhythm games, maybe I'll add it as a different mode or a mini game if I do go all the way with the mobile development ahaha wish me luck 🙏🙏🏾

Oh I just played your game, huge Zelda fan, and it's giving me Link to the past vibes. I dropped my comments. Solid entry.

Really awesome entry. I can imagine the effort put into this as well. it's giving me Link to the past vibes I just wish there was a way I could fight back other than pacman style hahaha. But yea, I totally enjoyed this. I found I think 5 portions? I didn't know how many I needed so maybe add an indicator somewhere so the players will get a sense of progress.

Hey community, it was a great Jam!

Will appreciate any feedback as it'll help me decide on where to take my game. I'm targeting mobile so for now I want to test the core engagement with players. I'm also going through the jam games and rating/sharing feedback, but if you rate mind I'll definitely give your game priority.

Thank you everyone.

My max score is 8, and I tried 10+ times. hahaha your game is tough to play, it can get frustrating fast but that's not something to be demoralized about. It happens. You can just get more feedback and then improve as you go. Good first game jam submission.

You can take a look at my game, I think I did a good job with the difficulty balance/progression at least, maybe it can help out. 👍🏾
