I enjoyed this a lot more than I expected! A fun and challenging submission. The opening "cutscene" is cool and the models are nice. It's a looser fit to the theme, and some controls were janky, but overall a fun experience.

Very nice. Props to the dad for supporting his kids' dream! Keep making games, all of us are following your career with great interest. If you ever release a game on steam, consider me your first wishlist

The GMTK youtube channel has great design tips. I recommend checking them out, and you'll knock next year's game jam out of the park too!

What's the beef with Count Darius?? Seemed like a chill guy.

A surprisingly well polished and challenging puzzle game! I couldn't stop playing, I wanted to see how we would trip up the counts next. It's a...generous interpretation of theme, but I'm glad I got to play this.
I love the art for the introduction, as well as the various sprites. And the cover art?? The assassin has so much aura

The game juice is actually really well done. My expectations were surpassed by how good it felt to just...punch zombies!
One thing I would critique is the lack of more complex mechanics, but the polish is on point. The art has a distinctive style that fits the game juice and music. Nice entry! I suck at this game, unfortunately

A nice puzzle game with funny play on words. A more polished UI and a slightly stronger gameplay (perhaps with more interactions between puzzles) would go a long way, but overall a fun little entry. It took me an embarrassing amount of time to align all the puzzle pieces!

I love the art style! The pixel art is beyond cute. This is one of those games that is underrated because it doesn't have a web build.

The core gameplay is fun and forces you to optimize. A good time-killer with satisfying feedback. Props to a creative solo dev!

It feels really nice to play, and that's one of the highest compliments for a movement based platformer. Spent of lot of time mastering the "S" button, but it was really satisfying when I got the hang of it. Huge props to a fun submission to pass the time with!

Oh god, this is so peak.

Itch.io warning aside, this game has everything: funny visuals, fitting music, culminating in a very fun experience. As an ace attorney enjoyer, this genuinely made me feel so nostalgic. Good job on a goofy and really enjoyable submission! No notes, amazing game.

Peak! The art is so good. Don't worry about the layoff, your game has the best pixel art out of the games I've played so far!

birb

A very cute and polished entry. It took me a while to figure out everything, but beating the game was really satisfying. I love the voice acting too!

Bro, my mice are nothing compared to your rat. Hopefully they can come with on the space mission.

Thank you, that flash game compliment is one of the best I've received so far. Great entry by you, too!

Thank you, good job on your first jam!

Thank you for the detailed feedback! To anyone reading this, check this guy's game out (Save your breath) it is such an underrated gem. It's absolutely worth the download

Bold of you to assume the Count pays him at all

Another incredibly underrated gem. Truly a standout in the narrative department.

First off, the visuals. The game has incredible models, and the low resolution nature of the game makes the light sources in the dark all the more ominous. The juice and UI feel very cohesive with the game's style.  The atmosphere is creepy and charged, and contributes immensely to the narrative of the game. Environmental design is S tier, with mostly clear guidance for the next step and what to do.  This leads us to gameplay: As you explore this underwater facility and uncover more, you also have to keep a mental map and keep track of both oxygen usage and the tools available to you. While the movement was a bit awkward a first, solving puzzles and shooting enemies felt really good! Again, thanks to the polish and game juice.
The storytelling is mostly not explicitly spelled out, but it's clear something horrible was discovered/made which culminates in a cosmic(?) horror narrative.

The lack of music elevates the ambience sounds, and the UI is clear and functional.

I AM surprised the gun works that well under water!

Overall, an incredible entry. A recourse management-puzzle game with a unique perspective of what it means to have a timer count down(Themed as oxygen). Would buy a full steam game in this style.

Gameplay segment

Not having access to the forms you already counted down is such a unique concept, this has a lot of potential to be a really great puzzle game given enough polish! Overall a great entry, very fun to pass to the other side! (pun intended)

The Mario Party mashing minigames as a baseline were already an interesting start, but you managed to make not only a visually appealing but also mechanically complex game in just 4 days. It reminded me of fighting games and Punch-Out!!, naturally, but not only does the "time" mechanic add urgency to the pace, it also turns the game into a very cohesive and satisfying experience when you manage to outplay the CPU. Overall, a polished and well-made game that I sank way too much time into.

I wish they invented immortality so I can live till year 20MOO to meat major Moo.
Fun, whimsical little game. I LOVE the voice acting haha! The visual feedback is phenomenal. I can't find anything to critique, it does it's job perfectly. Great entry! A really fun game to kill time with.

A simple game with a dystopian(?) undertone. Surprisingly strong in the narrative department. UI is simple but effective. I had fun, and even did a second run!

Cool and simple gameplay loop! Truly a relatable experience, sneaking out to fish sharks.

A nice and surprisingly cozy game to pass the time. The visuals are cute. A bit more polish on the UI would go a long way to bring this to the next level. Overall though, props to the devs! Gut gemacht!

Nice! Truly difficult to BEAD. A very creative take on the theme, and a great submission to pass the time with. Having browser build instead would be a big boost, but overall props to the devs!

Simple, but effective as a puzzle game. Game design on this is very clever! Satisfying and rewarding gameplay beats complicated visuals any day.

It's a shame your game was removed from the game jam, but this game is great! Simple, but effective. The visual feedback is good, and overall the game juice felt really polished. I couldn't really find any nitpicks. Best of luck next year! I hope you do well.

Haha! What a fun interpretation of the theme. I had trouble sleeping during the game jam, but this cured my insomnia instantly.
Visual feedback is also nice overall. Fun submission to pass the time!

Simple, but works. I love the main menu and the option to "Don't Go", truly the best way to avoid dying.
Some more polish in aspects such as UI and a more unique twist would have improved the game tons, but for a first game jam submission this is definitely great. Keep going!

Simple, but high pressure parkour game. Ran well (pun intended) and was fun moving around, and that's the most important part of any 3D game like this.

A very creative take on the jam, I never though a game could be technically real time and turn based at the same time. Movement mapping to WASD would be huge for game feel but I understand why you made it as it is. Props to the devs for a more unique and risky take on the theme!

A very calming game amidst a jam full of stressful ones. Such a creative way for expressing "Countdown". Would download as a mobile app any day!

Cool! The warioware style gameplay was incredibly refreshing, and the art is really cute!
A bit more polish for each minigame would go a really long way, but as a fellow game dev featuring Count Down, this was really fun! Count Down's battery struggles here are incredibly relatable.

Absolutely, the most criminally underrated game in the entire jam.
Not only are the sprites amazing, but everything from UI, sound effects, overall gameplay and depth, and STORY all feel very cohesive and do a lot for overall storytelling. This game deserves top 10 in narrative, in my opinion. And all this in 4 days? The developer clearly put a lot of effort into this.

Both art and gameplay feel incredibly unique and different in a jam full of games that revolve around a few concepts.

I would talk more about the game, but I implore anyone reading this to download it and try it out yourself. It's the very definition of a hidden gem.

I'm embarrassed to admit I genuinely got scared by the jumpscare...

But then again, the environment and the sound effects are really effective at creating a spooky atmosphere. I love the bible symbolism! As someone who is deeply scare of weeping angels am I glad that you can't blink in this game. It's a very complete and polished 3D puzzle solving game with a lot of cool moments and level design. A very unique entry and take on the theme!

Damn if this were on steam I'd buy it as an album with an extra game attached.
In all seriousness there's a lot of visual feedback, and the soundtrack got me nodding to the beat. Honestly, it doesn't tie in too well to the theme, but I this is definitely the type of game I would kill time playing. Props to the dev of this simple but effective game!

This game entry is surprisingly deep! Ever since I saw the screenshots on the discord server, I knew i had to give it  a try. The class system and various strategies you can employ is really nice and really impressive for a 4-day timeframe. As a big of of couch co-ops but with no friends to play them with, this was a lonely but nice experience. Overall, one of the most unique entries to the jam. It does take a few tries to get used to everything, though, but well worth it.

This is really cool! You absolutely delivered on the "cute eldritch girlfriend" promise (the protag is down bad). The art looks amazing! Your team produced a not only visually appealing dating sim but also an addictive gameplay. All 55 team members deserve a raise.

Not a bad final product at all! It would have been great to have more visuals, but I see the vision. Some room for polish, has the potential to be a strong narrative driven piece.

A 3D platformer with combat and parkour elements, in four days, with cool and unique visuals? Most jammers would be worried about overscoping but it's clear you know exactly what you are doing.
I love the protagonist model and the 3D environment a lot! Overall, an unique entry. I would kill for those models haha

This is genuinely super creative. I am shocked how you managed to combine a clicker game, with a countdown timer, using the timer itself, and make it fun to get a high score simultaneously. Props.

Cool game! I especially love the sound effects and how you described your process and experience in the game's description. This is a really creative entry! Made me want to jump into a game of either Mahjong or Rummikub right after. If I had to pick out something, next time add a bit of polish to your UI to make the experience even cleaner!
