I'm glad that it was a challenge! I tried to make it hard but not too easy but it seems to be a bit harder than I thought! I had my two younger siblings play after release and they definitely struggled. One thing I could've improved on was pause the game for the player to read the dialogue underneath because that plays in a huge role in where the next apple can be. Bean gets stuck on walls is something I gotta figure out, any tips with that?

Greatly appreciated the feedback! It's my first game jam and my first actual published game! The apple on the kitchen table is a starter apple, no changed locations. I've also noticed being able to eat through walls but I left it in there for speed running techniques.

That's great to hear! I tried to capture what I feel like when I get Deja Vu and that's where everything seems the same but somethings were different. A friend on my right says something that triggers Deja Vu where they were on the left.

the anomaly is the friends we made along the way

From top to bottom
Theme Implementation - I guess I can see having a restart button can seem like a deja vu but it feels more like a core mechanic in many games than a theme
Special Object Implementation - I see the cherries but at least to me, they didn't hold to much significance as I became more focused on the doors than the cherries

Fun Factor - It was definitely fun for sure. I enjoyed it

Gameplay - It was great too, the only downside is the box getting stuck in random areas. I slid a box in the tunnel and it got stuck before the button on the way back.

Visuals - I really like the visuals for it. The art style for the cutscenes strike me like it was a hazy memory. The in-game art is cool too

All in all, great game

The game is fun! I actually really like that art design too, it fits with the duck in a dungeon. Only issue that I see is the boxes, I got stuck on a level a few times because when I tried pushing the box back on to the button on the level with the tunnel, it got stuck just before the button.
