Hey, thanks! Good question, when I first came up with the LRA for MISSION: PRESERVE they were similar to the HRAs from Control so your FIST operative wasn't torn apart by a reality-changing anomaly, but they also could be attached like flashlights on rifles, in order to manifest intangible enemies so you could shoot them. For this addon I wanted to make them broader conceptually. Essentially, they make something paranormal adhere to "consensus reality," if that means you stick it on a thing, then you have to take it off you, so be careful!

I feel you, my decision to make xp calculated by highest “threat” was because I never liked tallying up little bits of xp from different sources. If you end up using this in any future game, let me know how it goes, I’ll happily workshop things that aren’t performing as intended!

Hey, glad you like it! Every party member should get max XP individually, not divided into smaller chunks. Regarding your point about beating three foes, the total XP gained is based on the highest “threat” of the encounter. For instance, each viechritter in the party would get  50 XP total after an encounter with normal foes (regardless of how many there are), or 200 XP for an encounter with a deadly foe and a bunch of normal foes, if that make sense? The intention was to allow XP to be consistent and easy to calculate, even if you are doing a big fight. Each “encounter” can be flexible too, if you’re battling waves of foes, each wave can be considered an “encounter” for XP rules. That way, the GM can tune how rewarding an encounter might be. Now, this was my intention, but if you like doing it differently, that’s just as valid!

Phenomenal work! Your work is evocative and succinct in a way that I think all FIST one-shots should be. A great conceit with an excellent execution, made even better because it's a tri-fold pamphlet. I will be running this ASAP!

Fantastic work! The layout is crisp and cohesive, with evocative art and concise writing. It feels like Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes meets Mad Max or Fallout. Each section drips with style, with good callouts to direct the readers attention. I would love to run this!

Great work! I really love the way the document is laid out, especially the embedded links to images and other pages. I can see how useful that would be when using a laptop or monitor as the referee. Love the arrival events table! Something I am a little unclear on is what mechanic the FIST team can use to actually capture the anomaly, as it doesn't have stats and it seems more dangerous as it gets more energy. Although leaving that up to the ref with some ideas (like you wrote on pg. 22) can lead to unique and wild scenarios!

Hey thanks for the comment! I imagined the tethering section could be an in-world memo the team could find or maybe CURATOR gave them a run down before hand, up to the referee. For clarity, I should have written that section in courier new font. Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks for the comment! Good call about the tables, I appreciate the feedback!

Updated PDF with better spacing and a few re-worded sections for clarity
