i figured out/remembered something i had intended to do with these characters' stories... so that's fun! and throws a wrench somewhat! it'll be the same characters in this, same aesthetic, same most things- save for the execution of the later game. rather than transitioning into a point-and-click in a cabin, i'm going to have my protagonist's mind fuckery continue. sorry, girl. the voices of your loved ones never leave you.

have another screenshot of belah while i do this

absolutely beautiful vn... the use of color (and lack thereof), as well as the transitions between certain cards, says so much as to the characters' respective perspectives, and the effect had by their conversation. i will definitely be checking out the rest of the series!!

a simple screenshot of one of my characters (belah!) talking to the protagonist before she's sent off to explore the room. my irl bestie had to remind me to record what i intend to do....... the reminder was very needed. i often just jump in and rely on my own memory (Not A Good Idea!!!)

though it just has the wip filename right now, the title is "the end is yours"

(sidenote i am trying so hard to add this image Please be kind to me internet)

very good very tasty, bought it immediately and read it immediately. the original vn was delightful, and this was a wonderful reversal of roles while keeping in line with the characters' pre established relationship.

very fun, kept me occupied for an hour in the dead of night

this is delightful, genuinely. i loved the characters and their interactions (especially their abilities to communicate relationship boundaries), the worldbuilding, the mention of dissociation during sex, and absolutely everything about rachel. thank you for putting this out there.

Ohhh, I can't wait to see how this turns out! Wishing you the best in development, and the best in life as a fellow trans man. I'm sure you'll do great!

oDaD is planned to be a game/story about life after death, robotics, and a trans man and his remaining family adjusting to a changed world.

Originally I was going to have it be more gritty and dark- the protag would experience microaggressions from his family, and maybe others, and it would also deal with themes of hopelessness. But as a trans man myself, that's not the story I need, and I doubt others need it either.

So instead the conflict comes from within, from other things I have experience with- memory loss, dysphoria, self- doubt. It's still somewhat dark, yes, but it's not as painful, at least in my opinion.

I've only got a couple panels down, so who knows- maybe it will change again. But my end goal is to ultimately have oDaD end in hope- or at least bittersweetly. I'll let you guys know how it goes- and if I don't post updates here, you can find them on my tumblr at ceviamavigames.

This sounds super interesting, and I can't wait to play- even having read the spoilers shdjfkg
Also, I absolutely adore your art style! Do you have an art blog or anything of the sort? Anyways, best of luck to you on your development, I'm sure you'll do wonderfully!
