Funnily enough Zelda wasn't an inspiration for this. I was inspired by Undertale's soundtrack and the music of Erik Satie.

Good luck !

Thank you :) Are you reviewing every entry this year?

Thank you ! I love your breakdown of my songs. I like your interpretations :)

Thank You :)

Ahah love how Xavier's Extravaganza's tune is as rickety as the shop! Great imaging throughout the ost!

Are you perhaps a fan of Nobuo Uematsu? Really liked your work!

I loved how you incorporated acoustic and electronic elements into your music!! Both track were really beautiful.

Really great trumpet playing! I'm sure if you had more time you could've been in the top OSTs for this jam!

Really nice how you tied every track together. I would have liked however a little bit more variety in the timbre you used and how you treated the motif that kept recurring. Solid vibes throughout tho!

Really liked the acoustic guitar on Hello World, it's like there's a whole between track 1 and 2 but I think that's the point? Anyways you should share your music more often it's really nice !

The first song was I N S A N E!! I wasn't so sure about the rhythmic ostinato on which the second is built unfortunately. Third one is really good, the keyboard motif reminded me of undertale a little. Fourth one, I liked the spicier harmonies. Fifth one, was the one I liked the most after the first one, the drums felt really nice on that one. If you don't have yet, make a post-rock album the world will thank you for it (or at least I will lol).

I would have never taught of ps2 racing game music for this jam but after listening to your tracks I'm glad I didn't cause they would've never have been as good as this!

Definitely went to some jazzy places on those track! I think your songs would benefit from a stronger sense of form. Still pretty enjoyable and simple tunes!

Both tracks are very eerie, little bit like Selected Ambient Works vol. 2 but more accessible (don't know if that makes any sense lol).  I liked that you took liberties with the theme but personally I like it better when I can really tie the song to game elements whereas your songs where more like in the vibe of the given picture. Still, I liked your tracks and they would fit great in an horror game!

Thanks! I tend to have more minimalist style so I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Did not expect to see some John Cage inspired music in the jam but here we are lol. Your libraries sound really great!

Is the soundtrack available on streaming platforms? Do you have a file containing all your songs?

Immediately felt submerged in the world you created!! The tracks are all great and I loved the bitcrushed synth-y aesthetic you went for! Cheers! P.S. Your tracks are in the wrong order on soundcloud :)

Could you put the tracks on a streaming service or all within one file so it's easier for people to rate your tracks?

Nice tracks ! I would have liked for the story elements to be more present in the music and also I'd recommend playing with the dynamics and expression controls of your instruments more because it felt like I was listening to General MIDI sometimes. All around good submission tho !!

Congrats on going with synthwave that's really unique! I would have liked however that you explain your musical choices and the story of your game.

Really creative genre for video game music you don't see that everyday! The only lacking thing for me was the mix, the drums felt dry and the elements all felt like they were not played in the same room at all but it doesn't impact the music too much.  Also, the tracks are in the wrong order on youtube so just a head's up :)

The tropical vibes were really cool and chill at the same time. Love the Lousy Ol' Town music, really makes me feel like I'm going on with my life in this lousy old town!

I appreciate the little synopsis that came with the music! I could really envision the story being told through the music well done!

Man those polyrythms were something ahah definetely unique!

I liked the piano coda in a fleeting twilight :) I'll say that without the explanation I couldn't have told you which track was supposed to be sad and which one was happy. I felt like they were both maybe a little bit too similar.

Nice one ! I like how the instrument represent the elements of the story instead of the standard melodic elements. Separate Ways is a nice little evil waltz :)

Thank you :)

Hey! Could you update your submission so that there's a link for a streaming version or a downloadable files with every track in it? It would make things really easier for people who want to rate your submission!

Hey man! Overall this is great but there are a lot of little things especially on your score that add up to make an unprofessional product (I really do not mean this in a bad way I once made scores that looked like this too).

1. Always put a indicator of how the music should be played alongside the tempo (ex. Whishful q=60)

2. Every instrument should always have a starting dynamic

3. The layout of your instrument on your score is all wrong I would suggest looking at scores made for smaller ensembles to know how to do your mise en page

4. Always remember that you are writing for humans! As an example of what I mean look at the flute ostinato from Shards of Twillight. Where does the flutist breathes? You would need to write that part for two flutes instead of one if you want it to be like that or you could give that part to an instrument which does not need to breathe like a violin.

5. When a section finishes is not clear in your score. Take a look at  at the end of 3. and the start of 4. Where does one ends and the other starts?

6. Dynamics do NOT represent volume!!!! If you change a dynamic because noteperformer plays it too softly you should just boost the volume in the mixer!

As I said, overall your pieces are great but as they stand right now no professional ensemble would even play them because the score is way too amateurish looking. Again, don't take these the wring way, you have some really great ideas in there and with just a little lesson or by reading a book on orchestration everything will fall into place.

Great submission!!

I am still available if someone needs a composer : )

Really not bad for one day!

The music was a little too frantic for me but the gameplay was really nice!

The ending is perfect XD

Game is great! I find the music to be a tad repetitive tho.

Crashes on my mac :/

La cinématique du début est un  véritable chef-d'oeuvre cinématographique!!

Nice Atmosphere!
