We have just finished our prototype for an educational cause and effect game. We would love any feedback you may have for when we potentially look to develop it further.

We are specifically looking for feedback on the gameplay itself and how rewarding it feels to play. It would also be good to ear your thoughts on the island setting itself as well as the educational aspect with teaching about the environment.

The Island is based on a concept of Cause & Effect by creative director Ruby Myers. The game was developed by third year students at Bath Spa university. The island that the player inhabits has a number of factors that affect it; the environment, food, fresh water and other things. Naturally, not everything will be balanced at all times and the player is given tasks to improve these factors. However some of these tasks, whilst improving some factors, will worsen others. For example, cutting down trees to make new houses increases your housing factor, whilst decreasing the environmental factor. The game is a prototype so we would love any feedback you may have in the comment section below!
