This game ran fine on Windows 10, but it does not work on Windows 11. The issue is that three DLL files are missing and not included in the installer:

openal32.dll
msvcp120.dll
msvcr120.dll

I was able to fix the first one by going to my folder for Neverwinter Nights and running oalinst.exe because OpenAL is no longer being distributed. I should not be needing to depend on other games providing the DLL files needed for this one to work.

The other two required downloading the Visual C++ Redistributable Package from Microsoft.

Oh, that's really super unfortunate that this DLC was impacted. >.<

Hello. This DLC is producing an error message for me of "Payment method not available at this time" when selecting the credit card option.

If you want to start a new game, such as to experience the magic of Calico from the beginning with the Pawsome Update, you need to delete your save file, which is going to be hidden away as follows for Windows 10:

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Peachy Keen Games

Once you're in the folder for your windows username, you'll need to select "View" from the menu on the top and put a check on hidden items.

Once you see the Calico folder in the AppData area, you can just delete the whole folder as the game will make a new one once you launch it again.

It's just a small popup box error titled ALERT that reads "Error: Could not load game at path '.'. Is the .pck file missing?"

I remember this game working with no issues with my prior laptop that died around September of last year. This computer had an Intel processor that was slower, 8GB ram and Intel UHD 620 graphics.

I'm just now getting around to playing Kaiju Klimb again. It's a delightful little game, so I'm very glad I was able to get past the error.

I got an error at launch with the windows build about a missing .pck file. Downloading the linux build, pulling out just the .pck file and putting it in the same location as the windows executable fixes this.

I'm really late to the party on this one and was originally intending to just stay out of it. After the Bundle for Ukraine (which did not feature Hayseed Knight), I have a bit of a perspective on this beyond "there's other demos and even browser only games in the Palestine Aid Bundle."

If you're not familiar with the Bundle for Ukraine, everything in it was supposed to be paid games only - no free games, no name your own price games, no demos unless bundle purchasers were getting the full game. There's been at least one developer that joined this bundle that has since switched their previously free game that went paid onlyback to being free / name your own price... meaning they blatantly changed their pricing structure just to get into the bundle and use it for publicity, which is completely dishonest.

Now as far as the Palestine Aid bundle, there's been a couple of demos in it. Repurpose, Solace State, Alisa | The Awakening, and Advent NEON are all part of this bundle as just demos. If there is a difference, it is only in that they put DEMO in the title.

However if you look at Monstrata Fracture, which is also part of the Palestine Aid Bundle, this game is still in development. If you spend $1 or more, you'll get an add-on to have NPCs wear glasses.  The game hasn't been updated since October 31, 2020 and the only way to get process updates on where they are at in development is to go to their Patreon account to give them money every month. This makes the inclusion of this game in the bundle feel like a huge advert for their Patreon account, especially after having played it and finding that you don't get very far into it before things end abruptly on a cliffhanger.

It may have been nice to have the word Demo somewhere in the title. However since the developer does not plan to have this as a Steam exclusive, they're not going to want to do that. They'll want to update the page so that there is the free demo and the paid version all at the same place.

Also I don't see anything disingenuous going on here, like sneaking free games into a paid games only bundle or joining a bundle to promote your Patreon account, as The Hayseed Knight's developer has done neither of these things.

That's perfectly fine! It makes complete sense to release on one platform first.

The minimum specs of "Min PC Specs: Nvidia 1080 or equivalent dedicated graphics card" really should be on the game's page and not just on the download page after you bought it. Fortunately, I got this in a bundle where I don't expect to like every single game as I'd be frustrated if I had bought this on its own, only to find that my laptop is below spec due to not having a dedicated graphics card.

Lingering like an 18th century lady painting is the best description of what it feels like to wait around for releases. Oh and I'm hoping after watching that trailer video that I'll have the option to play the game with French voices and English subtitles.

I saw this coming soon on GOG and am excited for its release that I already have it on my wish list there. No, I haven't played the demo as those just lead me sad and frustrated that I have to wait on the full game.

I got the original version of this game through the Palestinian Aid bundle, so the only thing that is keeping me from justifying buying the remeowstered version at the moment is the really massive backlog that same bundle created for me. For now, I've added this version of the game to my wish list collection so that I don't forget about it. <3

Having played the iOS version on an iPhone 6S to its end, I can say that this is a really fun game that gets +1,000 bonus points for having cats.

I got it part of that massive bundle so only got as far as doing a preliminary check to see if it works and I like the game. I liked what I saw enough to let you know about the error.

So long as you were not aspiring to make the next Wizardry 4 in terms of game difficulty, I can deal with however difficult it is even though everything I know about ancient Greece is found in various myths. :)

Hello. Unfortunately, I didn't have it in the downloads folder. I tried it again with the folder "The First Greek Odyssey" sitting on my desktop and running the game from there, only to get the same error. However despite this profile error, I was able to save the game thus it is looking more like a nuisance error.

It's too bad that there is no download version, so that I can make all sorts of dubious baked goods while offline. This is my favorite of the games on this site that you have to play online through a browser.
