The game is a remake of a certain 1994 game in 4x genre.  It features the following:

Two sets of character art, one modern, other in unique retro-like style.

The main game loop is not changed, until mid game, when advisors start taking care of tedious micro-management.

Slight fixes to the plot without major changes.

Low planet population caps.  It is no longer possible to finish the game with the income from the starting planet.

Population morale is affected by environment as well as taxes and amenities.

Sensible extraction -- more than one auto-mine can be deployed.  Maximum mine count depends on planet size.

Sensible production -- any planet can build a factory, bigger planets can build more than one.  At the moment, a planet can only manufacture one product, I am thinking of allowing up to one product per factory.

Improved conversations with advisors -- they will actually advise on what to do.

Space combat unchanged.

Ground combat overhauled completely.  It is turn-based and features destructible environment (trees and rocks).  Animation is decoupled -- all AI units move at once.

The 'mix' idea  did not work quote that well for a solo developer, so current aim -- remake with a small number of things fixed and improved.  Check out the current dev build -- the font and the graphics.

Hello.

How very nice!  Are you going to further improve the fog of war?  The fog should reappear once a tile is outside the player's vision range -- or perhaps you could reimplement it without a tile map, but an alfa mask of sorts?
