Hi everyone!
I've just released Rogue: The Amulet of Yendor, a remake of the original Rogue (1980) — the game that named the entire genre — rebuilt with a modern interface while keeping the classic soul intact.
What's inside:
- Randomly generated dungeons — no two runs alike
- True turn-based combat — enemies only move when you move
- Unidentified potions, scrolls, rings and wands — drink at your own risk
- 26 monsters from Bat to Dragon, each with its own dirty tricks (the Leprechaun steals your gold, the Aquator rusts your armor…)
- Hunger, hidden traps, secret doors and dark rooms
- Permadeath — one life, make it count
- Keyboard, mouse and gamepad · English and Spanish
Your goal: descend 26 levels, grab the Amulet of Yendor, and climb back out alive.
It's my tribute to the game that started it all. I'd love feedback from fellow roguelike fans — especially on difficulty balance.
