ayyyyyy

Always really neat to see VMU entries. Will definitely check out the mapping stuff if I ever give VMU dev another go. Awesome job!

On the tough side, but gives me cozy vibes. Kinda reminds me of all those top down war flash games back in the day. Love the look!

Fantastic work! Runs nice and smooth, and honestly the standard DC controller layout feels pretty natural to me.

Best water physics on DC (and pretty good looking generally to boot!). Managed to get through it all after I forced myself to have some patience!

The most punk jam entry for sure. I really love it, really creative feeling game with a super unique style. Even without really knowing the characters I enjoyed it a whole lot.

Just played the jam version. I really love the whole tone and the art. Battle system is super interesting too. I'll be checking out the full version!

Visually kind of amazing, I can see it being almost more like an art piece or maybe a learning tool for Feng Shui depending on where you wanted to go with it!

Some really great vibes to be had here, feels nice and slick to control. Just needs some 2000s rock to hype things up!

Really tight controlling game. I had a lot of fun trying to abuse the near miss bonus mechanic to get the longest run of near misses I could. Looks great too (really loved the dust/sand floating across the screen)

Stunning visuals in this one. Will be keeping an eye on Spiral Engine for sure!

Yeah this one is super interesting. Gives me a kind of Moonring vibe, but with roguelike stuff going on and an almost Vampire Survivors approach to combat? Definitely going to be spending a lot more time with it.

Considering I'm neither much of a rhythm or shooter game kinda person, I had some fun with it! I guess maybe it gave me a little bit of that Mother 3 battle system feeling? And beautiful music too.

Super satisfying to fly around in gun blazing. Would be nice to have a little more feedback on when I'm in danger/enemies remaining, but had a good time saving those animals!

This one has a really neat concept (I played single player). I only managed to get a few levels in before the timer would get me (up to the spiral level?), but I had a lot of fun here. Would love to see what other twists and turns could be in store.

Really professional feeling presentation, and feels pretty natural to control after a short time with it. Would love to play it with some more solid objectives/opponents!

Really cute port that feels really at home on the Dreamcast. I would love to see this one finished some day, I'd quite happily play through the whole thing!

Really enjoyed what I've played so far! I really like the way the story is told, never feeling bogged down by exposition dumps at every step, and I could listen to the music all day. I did have my moments where I wasn't sure where was safe to walk/where a door was, so I bumped into a lot of walls, and swapping between d-pad and analog for the inventories confused my brain a little, but minor issues in an otherwise really complete feeling entry.

Would love this uploaded as a cdi! It's not super easy to just boot it up to check it out in the submission format.

It's looking really slick! Can't wait to check it out.

Nice chill time! Looking forward to revisiting it as new levels unlock.

Nice! That sounds about right from what I've heard.

People are dedicated! I was expecting people to beat it in like half hour chunks over a week or two ha.

Thank you! And nice work! How long did it take you?

For such a small thing I'm glad it's still keeping people entertained! 🥰

Go right ahead! Throw me a shout out in the credits if you like, but not necessary.

I like the idea but no way it's gonna be done by then. I'm sure I'll port it to Vita down the line though :)

Really stylish game that sets a promising scene in not a lot of time. Would love to know where the story would go!

Love the style! Really cute and a fantastic start to your Dreamcast dev!

The video went up a couple of hours ago, I showed your box art for a few seconds near the end and used it as the thumbnail. Thank you again so much for making it, it's really fantastic to see stuff like that being done for something I made <3

I’m sure they’ll be plenty big enough, but I’ll keep it in mind! Thanks again.

Thank you!
If you have higher res versions of the images that you posted here that would be great, but the ones here should be fine if you don't or its a pain to get them :)

Would be happy to help if I can. If you have any art or mockups already done I can let you know if it's something I could match!

Just thinking, this week I'm editing together a little making of video for this project, would you been okay with me including your box art in the video and maybe thumbnail? (With on-screen credit and links to anywhere you like in the video description obviously)

Oh that's beautiful! And so so cool to see for one of my games! Nice work <3

Awesome! And good idea with the DVD cases.

I'll be working on another DC project soon, and maybe it's a good idea to make official box art for people who want to have something physical. Thanks for putting me onto it!

That's really cool!
The mockup was made to fit the itch.io cover image dimensions, so it's pretty small, but I do have the .psd file here (can be edited using Photopea if you don't have an editor installed). It's just using a stretched version of the first screenshot as the main image, so here's a very slightly higher resolution version here if needed.
The font is the default raylib font, which might only exist in image format online, but you should be able to find it.

Hell yeah brother. Awesome idea, the level was a little tight to maneuver around, but maybe that chaos is part of the fun, I got used to the crash and gear change sound effects quickly xD
Nicely done.

I'm not much of a shoot 'em up guy usually, but it seemed pretty well put together with some good variety of enemies and different attacks. I did feel a little powerless though, like my bullets weren't doing all that much, but that might be inexperience.

I haven't seen a game using pre-rendered backgrounds since who knows when. Gives a great ominous atmosphere in combination with the soundtrack.
Really striking. Only had a short explore, but definitely worth coming back to (with that notepad) I think.

The vibes here are immaculate. Tough to avoid a game over, but after a few runs I started getting the feel for it. Would really love to see this one expanded upon, maybe making it possible to explore a little more ;)
