Thanks for playing and taking the time to leave feedback — it genuinely means a lot, especially this early in development.

You're onto something with the generator. Right now the panic is intentional, but I've been thinking about adding a subtle early warning — maybe a flicker or a quiet beep before it hits critical. Enough to reward attentive players without killing the tension.

Really glad the atmosphere landed. That was the hardest part to get right.

I really like the style and the fast pace of the game, it’s actually really fun to play.

I do have a few ideas though. It could be interesting to see more maps and parkour-style areas. Maybe some parts of the parkour could extend the timer or give other useful bonuses, so while doing the parkour we are also collecting leaves at the same time.

If you ever plan to expand the project, maybe different maps could have different objectives instead of only leaves. For example, collecting specific items for different characters. Like helping an old man during rainy weather by collecting umbrellas or something similar. Just an idea :)

Also I feel like the zoom mushroom disadvantage might be a bit too strong. It zooms the camera and it also feels like it slows the player down. On top of that, you can’t interact with anything while it’s active (can’t collect leaves or deliver them to Andre), which can cause you to lose the run.

Maybe there could be an antidote item for it, or some of the disadvantages could be reduced.

Other than that, the game is great and I really enjoyed it.

Thanks for playing That's actually a really interesting idea.

I'm planning to release the 1.4 update soon and I'll be improving and expanding some of the systems in the game. I'll definitely keep this kind of mechanic in mind. Thanks for the suggestion :)

Thank you I'm really glad you liked the idea and the UI :)

If you ever have any suggestions or ideas for the game, feel free to share them. I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Thank you for taking the time to play the game and leave a comment I’m glad you found the project interesting. I’ll be improving the readability in the browser version soon. If you have any other ideas or suggestions, feel free to share them feedback like this genuinely helps improve the game. Thanks again for your time :)

This honestly made my day — thank you so much for playing the game and taking the time to write such a detailed review.

I love that it helped you confront your terminal/DOS phobia a little bit :)

I’m really happy the guest loop kept you curious — that was exactly the feeling I was aiming for.

I’m currently working on the 1.2 update, and I’ll definitely be exploring some of these ideas as I continue expanding the project. Your suggestions about distorted text, power outage effects, and generator sounds are fantastic. The Alien Isolation save terminal reference is especially inspiring.

Thanks again for the thoughtful feedback and for spending time with the game. It really motivates me to keep improving it.

Thanks a lot for playing and for reporting the bug!
You actually won the game by passing the $200 rent requirement
The black screen at 6 AM is a UI issue that I'll fix in the upcoming 1.2 update.
Really appreciate the feedback :)

Thank you so much for playing! I'm really glad you enjoyed the atmosphere. Let me know if you managed to pay the rent! :)

The concept is nice  simple rules but with potential for deep strategy, which is usually what makes games like this interesting. I like that it works both against CPU and with another player. Good work :)

I managed to reach 440 score :)

One thing I noticed: after a certain point, the waves start spawning very quickly, almost on top of each other. It felt like new enemies were appearing before I had time to clear the previous ones.

Maybe slightly adjusting the spawn pacing or adding a tiny breathing window between waves could improve the flow.

Overall though, it’s a solid arcade experience

Hey Just wanted to let you know  when I click the link in your post, it redirects to a page with an extra “s” at the end (…obligationss), so it shows a 404 error.

I was able to find your game through your profile though!

You might want to double-check the link so others don’t run into the same issue. Congrats on the release :)

Hey! Thanks again for playing  I’m really glad you were enjoying it :)

That wasn’t actually a crash, but a pacing bug. There was a “dead zone” around 4 AM where no customers would spawn for a while, which made it look like the game froze on the “Black Sedan stopped outside…” line.

I’ve just uploaded a fix, so the night flows much smoother now. I also posted a small devlog explaining the changes in Update 1.1 if you’re curious.

Thanks a lot for pointing it out  it really helped improve the game ^^

Thanks a lot! I’d love to hear your thoughts after you try it :).

Hi everyone,

I just released my very first game, Terminal Motel.

Terminal Motel is a one-night horror management prototype where you play as a night clerk in a desolate roadside motel. Not every guest is human. Not every room is safe.

Your goal is simple:

Collect $200 before 6:00 AM to keep the motel running… or face the consequences.

Features:

• Risk & reward system (dangerous guests pay more, but increase police risk)

• Random events and tension-based atmosphere

• Generator failures you must fix manually

• Short, replayable experience

This is my first published project, and I’m still learning game development. I’d really appreciate any feedback about:

- Game balance

- Tension and atmosphere

- Difficulty

- Bugs or technical issues

You can play it here:

Thank you for spending a night at Terminal Motel.
