Thank you for your kind words. :)

Really well polished game! It doesn't feel like a jam game.

It's not my type of game in terms of mechanics and genre, but it's very cool with the theme and the aesthetics. My favorite overall on the jam.

I intentionally made the controls a bit hard and slippery to make it feel like more physics based, but crisp movement could work as well. Thanks for playing.

I also checked out your game and it was fun! Great work.

Thanks for the feedback !😊 And yes, building for web is something... different

I hope you had fun nonetheless!

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it!

There was supposed to be a fullscreen CRT shader, and when the pumpkin gets damaged, the screen should have glitched as a visual cue, but I couldn't make the full-screen shaders work on neither the Web Build nor the Windows Build. It just works in the Unity Editor. I tried to fix it for 2 days, but then I just gave up.

I already played and rated your game yesterday. It's a solid game!  😊

Interesting concept, but too much narrative for my taste.  :(

I think adding some animations, movement etc. to those cutscenes would make the experience better.

I hate people arguing in real life as well, that might be the reason as well. I hate Ash... Just let her be man...

Yes, it's frustrating for both you and I, that checkpoint system is buggy :(

Thanks for playing!

It's very well fitting for the theme!

I think it has good potential to be expanded upon with different actions Tom can do. Also very complex levels can be created as well if you develop this game more.

It's okay to not do all features on time because 10 days is a short time.

Take your time and I'm sure you'll make it. I'd be interested to check it out once it's a polished game, because I like the space-survival concept.

Great work nonetheless! 😊

Oh, it's very cool to have a devlog. I'll read it for sure. :)

Again, good job on the game!

Thank you!
I forgot to lock the cursor, because of that you can't turn around in the web build, is it that or just camera in general?

Ah, I see why you removed it.
And yes adding some speed ramps and obstacles would be nice. I had fun playing even without them.😊

I liked the aesthetics of the game quite a lot!

That cat scared me more than other jumpscares though... then I laughed because I've got scared by a meme cat...
It was a fun little experience. Great work. :)

It's a very creative and fun game, and I liked the music!

I found it a bit hard to land jumps on the last level because of the camera angle.
Also, in the 2D levels, it was a bit unclear which objects I could jump on and which I couldn't.

Other than these, I think you have a great foundation with the camera changing mechanic. You can easily create many more levels and extend the game. Great work!😊

Thanks, glad you liked it!😊

Thank you for your kind words!
You're absolutely right, the slow death in the pool is frustrating and it would be better if it was much quicker.
And your point about the first candle placement is a great idea for teaching the climbing mechanic as well. 😊

Ah, I see. Thank you for the explanation, I'll also experiment with it for sure.

When there's no previous checkpoint, it should respawn the player at the very beginning. I made that the default, but I've got no clue what really is going on. Thanks for that as well. 😊

I wish I had downloaded the Windows build. I learned the hard way that WebGL breaks :(

The game is very addicting and I'm really annoyed with the zombie. He keeps getting in my way, just leave me alone...
I have to clear the goddamn screen. Earn more money, clear more flecks, earn more, clear more.

I also loved the main menu, and the animations. How did you do that? I want to learn as well.

Overall a very solid and fun game!

Thanks for playing and the feedback!
The yellow bar is actually the health bar and the player's light, and it works like a timer. Candles are there to refill it and also act as checkpoints. The light depletes over time, and yes, flaring it speeds up the depletion.

When the bar goes to 0, the player should respawn at the latest checkpoint, but sometimes it just respawns them at their current position. I couldn't figure out why. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Maybe a race condition is happening in the code. I'm not sure :(

It was a fun little experience, great work. 😊

The bosses were great, there's definitely variety among the enemies in the game as well. In my opinion the camera movement made it a bit difficult to see what was going on in the game, maybe it can benefit from some dampening. Other than that it's a solid game!

I agree with aterlamia and Fitz0Fury, also adding some hazards like, objects that decrease the score when you catch it, would help the game loop.

I agree with Lanterngeist, it's a solid foundation and a solid endless runner. However more obstacles and/or more collectibles would make it much more fun. 😊

Speed is fun, what could be more fun, more speed. Adding some kind of acceleration and/or bunny hopping mechanic would be fun. The music was nice. And I think you broke the "cycle" you mentioned, yes it's a simple game but a complete game!

The intro looks interesting and I hope you can fix it so we can enjoy the game.😊

Bug: The lights of the tools are on player's back. I don't think it's intentional.

The atmosphere is great, but the game needs lots of polish as currently I'm sorry but it feels like a walking simulator. Also, maybe I couldn't find my way but I got stuck on where we get the Android Storage Keycard and need data after that, I couldn't get the data because the door I opened on the first terminal got closed.

I tried interacting with the doors, lamps, pumpkins but nothing worked, I'm not sure if it's a bug or you didn't implement yet. If it's a bug you might want to check on that :)

An audio cue for player's soul draining could be a great improvement for the player experience (I realized I could have also added that for my game because it's a very similar mechanic), and I think more props, objects, and variety on the map would be a great addition as currently it feels empty and same on everywhere.

The torch's visual effects obstruct the view a lot, and the screaming does not give the player much vision as well. Playing the game very quietly gives you much better survival chance. It needs some balancing on that I think. Good mechanic but not a polished game in my opinion. 😊

Oh my bad then, thanks! :))

It was a short but an enjoyable experience. The visuals, sounds and overall feel are very polished, and I think it has great potential if you decide to expand the story further. :)

I don't know if you're being sarcastic, but thanks anyway. 😊 This was my first solo game jam, and I wanted to see if I could finish a game. That's why I chose a simple mechanic.

Thank you 😀, I didn't have much time to polish unfortunately, otherwise better music choices and some SFX would definitely add more soul to the game.
