This is a full guide of how to add Blockyscape to your Steam device (Steam Deck or Steam Machine) with a full layout preset.

Step 1: Integrate Blockyscape Into Steam

Thanks to Proton existing, this is super easy as we can just download a Windows version of Blockyscape to not complicate things:

1. Go to desktop mode on your Steam device and go to the games itch.io page and specifically download the Windows version
2. Go to Steam and in the bottom left click "Add a Game" then click "Add a Non-Steam Game...", then navigate to the downloaded game then click open
3. Go the the gear icon on the game page and click properties
4. Rename the game to just Blockyscape

Step 2: Enable Proton

1. In properties go to the Compatibility tab and check "Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool"
2. In the dropdown select the latest non-beta version of Proton

Step 3: Test it

After you do all of that, press play, if it loads to the main menu, your good and you can move on

Step 4: Add the controller preset

1. Go back to the itch.io page and download the Steam Deck controller preset
2. To add the preset, go to the file browser and navigate to ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Steam Controller Configs/[Steam ID]/config/blockyscape/, and copy the vdf file there
3. Go to the game page and select the controller icon,then toggle the new layout

The setup is finished and you can now play the game on the go!

And no steve is a placeholder

World generation is planned which may release on 0.31 or 0.32

In this upcoming update, new stuff is added like moving clouds and a new main menu that resembles an older layout from update 0.7.7 on November 2024

When you collect all of the eggs, this screen should popup

1. Memorize or write down the code, then close the popup and go to the main menu; Then click the egg icon on the bottom

2. When you this screen, enter in the code in the box, if you get the code correct, a screen will popup showing you your prize!

On easter Sunday April 20, An update will release with many new features like an egg hunt that will last until April 27, 2025

Press P key or click the Camera button in the menu to screenshot

1. Click the arrow in the bottom-right corner

2. Click the camera button

3. Go to your Documents folder on your computer and click on "Blockyscape_Screenshot.png" to view and share

4. To share click the Share button on the top-left corner and click the app you want to share the screenshot to.

Notes:

• The UI will be hidden, but the block assistant still shows up
• Screenshots will save in your Documents folder under the name "Blockyscape_Screenshot.png"
• Screenshots only work on PC or browser
