Thanks for your feedback. I haven’t tested the game with two monitors, but in my tests, the mouse worked fine. I focused on making sure the game had a beginning and an end, and I didn’t have time for the music. If the music tracks are what you want to improve, I didn’t have any testers to assess the game’s difficulty; that’s the downside of developing a game on your own. I’m glad to hear you enjoyed the experience of wandering around the island.

The game is alright and it fits the theme. The idea is a good mix of shooter and Cupid, but it’s missing something to distinguish it from a typical shooter. What I see as lacking is the sound; it’s just gunshots, and it should be something closer to a love sound or something like that. Otherwise, it’s indistinguishable from a shooter. Even if you say narratively that it’s a Cupid game, it’s not enough to differentiate it from a shooter. That’s the downside of the game jam; you leave things unfinished.
It’s not true that I don’t have control of the scene. I spent a lot of time thinking about where to place the story pieces, planning the final scenario, and creating a short story. It’s true that the scene is large and the gameplay could be improved, but ultimately, this game is like the scavenger hunt we played as kids. I’m just a hobbyist who makes Unity games in my free time. My time is limited; I have family obligations, work, etc. I would have liked to add more to the game, but I couldn’t. I enjoyed doing what you said: “having them under control - which makes the game feel lacking direction or intention.”
I really liked the game, especially the water graphics; it’s well done, and you can even see the rocks at the bottom. One thing you could have added would be fish. The visuals are very good, the water music is well done, and the only drawback I see is the controls, which are sometimes a bit difficult to manage. I don’t know if it’s done on purpose to create or reduce stress.
Congratulations on your project.
Thanks for playing! 🏴☠️ I’m so glad you liked the idea 😊
To progress through the game, you need to talk to the characters on the islands and collect story fragments. Sometimes you have to get up close to the character so they can see you and you can see them too.
If you’ve already gone through the portals but haven’t received any clues, you may need to give a fragment to its corresponding character. Every story fragment has its owner!
Thanks for your comment! 🙌
