Sorry to hear that about the tutorial. I've now added an objectives panel to help you keep track during the tutorial. Could you tell me what kind of gameplay issues you ran into so I can target those for the next update?

Happy to hear that! Yes, the Elder's tutorial will be reworked as soon as I can get back to it. I'm currently pushing out a few updates for my other game. What kind of tasks were your villagers not remembering? Villagers can build, farm, repair, and heal automatically, and will also use a gathering hut if present. Any other tasks like individual gathering and manning towers need to be assigned manually.

W.A.V.E.S.
Whispers Across Vast Ebon Seas
The air is heavy. The water is black. And something is moving in the fog.
W.A.V.E.S. is an atmospheric survival RTS with a unique horror twist, built entirely in ASCII. You are the new leader of a coastal settlement on the edge of the world. By day (Low Tide), you must order your villagers to gather resources, construct defences, and prepare for the inevitable. By night (High Tide), the ocean surges, and the horrors of the deep come to claim what is theirs.
Guided by the village Elder, you will learn to manage your workforce and fortify your position. But be warned: the sea is not your only enemy.
Please try it out if that description appeals to you!

Yeah, that might be it. There is a small issue that seems inherent due to how the game actually works in the browser, making it necessary to "deselect" a prior element you interacted with before the next click will register. I'm thinking about how to solve it, but nothing for now. Btw, if you ever have a chance, please check out the new systems and mushrooms. I'd love your feedback on the updates!
Hello everyone,
I just uploaded Mushroom Tender, my first-ever game project, to Itch. It's a small semi-idle game about farming and selling mushrooms, with some mechanical depth in positional synergies, resource management, second-order products, etc.
I'm mainly looking for feedback on how the mechanics are functioning, the general vibe of the game, and balance. It's small and plays entirely inside your browser, so please do check it out if you have the time!

Hello everyone,
This is Mushroom Tender, my first-ever game project.
Mushroom Tender is a small, semi-idle cosy game about growing and selling mushrooms. It's designed for you to be able to click off and do something else while it's going in the background, especially once you get out of the early stages.
Features:
- Grow and sell a variety of mushrooms, from the humble Button to the royal King Truffle to the cosmic Astral Agaric.
- Discover special magic mushrooms with unique effects by sending adventurers out on quests, or visit the Great Mycelium to roll the dice of fate.
- Compost mushrooms into fertiliser or ferment them into wine.
- Unlock bigger plots for more complex synergies, ranging from faster growth to extra harvests to overcoming time-of-day restrictions.
- Buy or quest for rare items to take your mycelial mastery to the next level.
If this sounds up your alley, check it out!
