Norman reminds me of cute floofy sheepdogs and Club Penguin Puffles. I hope Norman is having fun up on the fan <3

If Norman is satisfied, here's my joint submission! https://itch.io/jam/jamsepticeye/rate/3937688

Hope you had a good sleep ☺️ played your game earlier when you commented on my post!
If you haven't checked it out, here's the one I worked on ^^ it's a very short point-and-click adventure about trick-or-treating 🎃🍬 https://itch.io/jam/jamsepticeye/rate/3937688

It wouldn't load for me :< I wish you luck, though! This looks like a cute/fun little experience ☺️

Just making a progress comment for myself lol - Managed to rate everyone on the post so far! New posts should turn up underneath this? So it'll be easier to keep track of who I've yet to rate. Thanks for the engagement, everyone!

Just finished rating!! ^^

Sometimes the voice acting was a little too quiet - some subtitles would help a lot! I also experienced the same softlock as DRP (I also interacted with the evidence before the ghosty).
EDIT: Found the subtitles in the settings after playing, they didn't seem to work for me :<

Otherwise extremely charming and a very interesting concept and take on the theme! I like the aesthetic, running around as a dapper kitty was quite fun 👏

That's just the way the candy crumbles 🤷‍♀️
Thanks so much ^^

Tysm for your kind words 😊 I really like the hard mode idea... We'll tinker around with that for the full version!

Played and rated! A good first game 👏

Oooo, spooky 👁️
The camera angles switching around like that was disorienting for me and the character turning was a little slow so I got stuck on the geometry a bit, however it didn't take long to get the feel for it.
Otherwise I liked this! The sound design hit the nail on the head regarding atmosphere and overall vibes. It creeped me out a little! Good job :)

Just rated yours! ^^

Nice! I got super stuck at the first wall jump xD

Brutal honesty is great for critique. At the moment our main critique is something we were going to add but didn't get around to due to the time constraint. Nevertheless we're happy with what we got done before the deadline!
Your game's on my to-rate list! If you wanna give ours a go: https://itch.io/jam/jamsepticeye/rate/3937688

Point-and-click strategy about getting the most candy while trick-or-treating!😁🎃🍬 https://itch.io/jam/jamsepticeye/rate/3937688

Tysm!! Good to know the things we were already planning is our main criticism ^^ appreciate your feedback!

Underrated gem! Love the handcrafted vibe. Very fleshed out already. The title music gave me a great feeling to what the game was going to be and it hit that mark perfectly! The progression was satisfying and the difficulty was well-balanced.
This is awesome!

Just rated, thank you! 🥰

This was so cuuuute!! I loved how you explained things that were missing with self-aware humour, it's cool seeing a list of things you've already planned to add too!
Also kudos for having the strength to do this while going through pregnancy <3 I wish you and your bubba all the best. Can't wait to see your game more fleshed out! It was really fun and cosy despite being very quick.

Thanks! I've just rated yours 😁

Whoooooa. This wasn't what I expected when I loaded it up! It's a unique take on death and the world-building is interesting - it makes me wonder what else the game's universe has to offer 👀 intrigued to see the full version 😊

I haven't played yet but I encountered it on the "random selection" page and it's definitely on my list! I'll let you know when I've rated :3c

Thanks! I just played and rated Anoxia ^^

Tysm! And fair, this seems to be the main criticism we've had. The time limit had me in a little bit of a choke-hold with making more varied assets 😖 BUT this is something we are 100% going to refine after the jam <3

Tysm! I'm so glad people seem to want to see more of this; we do intend on making it a full game 😄

I totally get it - we're definitely going to add more telling signs for both good and bad houses.  Thanks for the feedback!

Rated! 👌

Congrats on such a polished first game and jam (for most of you lol)! I've just rated 😁👏

This is so funny 😂 and such a fun little game! I like the addition of lore, the many references and variety of minigames, it leaves open endless opportunities for future updates if you decide to expand the game.

Awesome! Rated and commented ✅

Thanks! I've played and rated yours too 😁

The description made me giggle. The references made me smile. The pop-ups are a nice touch to distract you. The platforming was mostly satisfying. The camera movement is nice. This is a fun game overall with a cool, wacky concept!
Only thing I'd suggest - if you're planning to develop this further - would be to add more varied height pillars so you're not only running around up high or just trying to get up high? As, even though there are jump pads, I found myself scrambling to stay up and find searches. Highly likely this is just a skill issue on my behalf, though.

I think this could work well in VR 👀

Definitely one of, if not my favourite game I've played in Jamsepticeye so far!!! INCREDIBLY underrated, I can't believe you soloed this with five hours to spare.

I encountered a couple of bugs (note, I got the "show ID on map" upgrade early on): Sometimes the ID wouldn't appear on the map, even though I was in range, which had me stuck on a level for a little bit (couldn't open the door, d41 I think it was?). Also, I'm not sure whether or not it was intentional but sometimes IDs wouldn't show up unless I was facing them directly and if I got too close to a door sometimes, I'd be blipped out of range even though I was as close as possible lol.

My only other small critique is the text (on the map) sometimes got distorted, making me double-take and need to move around to make sure I was typing in the right characters. That might have something to do with the shader?

Definitely nitpicking, though! Five stars all around, man. I absolutely loved this. The typing aspect really livened up the platforming, the combination of UI is great, its ambiguous story was intriguing and made me want to know so much more about the world it's set it and the colour palette is beauuuuutiful <3

I hope you get a lot more recognition because you really deserve it.

Tysm for the kind words! I'm looking forward to fleshing this out more after the jam :D
I've got your game on my to-do list btw - thanks for replying to my post - I'll rate yours as soon as I can!

Goodness, it's so overwhelming going through the submissions page and I've already rated so many :o
I'd love for you to reply with your submission so I can rate it! And while you do that, please consider rating the one I worked on with Bat Croissant GamesTricker's Treat <3

Thank youuuuuuuuu so much for your time!

Thanks for the support! I worked on this one: https://itch.io/jam/jamsepticeye/rate/3937688
I'll rate your game as soon as I can ^^

Loooove the look of your game, I'll get around to rating it soon <3
Here's the game I worked on! It has horror themes but it's not really scary: https://itch.io/jam/jamsepticeye/rate/3937688
