Nothing is cut on this page, you just fold it twice (first in the middle, then sideways along the shorter line), to make it into something like a booklet.

Hi everyone,

I'm excited to announce the release of a special new edition of my game, The Secret of Langton Manor, a story-driven printable escape room for 1-4 players.

What is the game?

The Secret of Langton Manor is an episodic mystery game you print at home. You'll solve puzzles, uncover clues, and piece together a dark story set in a haunted 1920s English estate. All you need is a printer, scissors, and the free companion app to check answers and get hints.

Announcing the Hand-Drawn Edition!

Today, I'm releasing the Hand-Drawn Edition of Episode 1: Legacy.
I've collaborated with a freelance illustrator to replace the original placeholder art with all-new, hand-drawn pencil sketches to perfectly capture the game's spooky, atmospheric tone. It's the definitive version of the first chapter in this unfolding mystery.

Want to try it for free?

If you're new to printable escape rooms or just want to see what the mystery is all about, you can grab the original version of the first episode for free! It has the same great story and puzzles.

Thanks for checking it out! I hope you enjoy your time at Langton Manor.

Thanks so much for playing and for the kind words. Love that you're saving Episode 3 as a reward — that made me smile 😊 Hope it’s worth the wait!

That’s amazing to hear! Thank you so much for the support and I hope you enjoy the rest of the game!

Thank you!

Glad to hear you like the series so far! Thanks for catching that issue with the line on page 12—I’ve already fixed the file. I am also curious about the number from the last puzzle - can you DM me a picture on instagram (@bromelain_games)? You can also attach it here, and I will just delete the comment afterwards to avoid spoilers.

Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the first two episodes. I'm currently working on the third one and hope to have it ready in a few months.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience and thoughts! Looking back, the first episode's puzzles might have turned out a bit too challenging as an introduction. The puzzles in the second episode are actually more straightforward. I always encourage players to use the hints in the app to keep the experience fun.

I completely understand the sentiment people have against AI-generated images in games - I work in a field which might soon be obsolete because of AI.

On the other hand I would never have been able to make this game without the recent generative AI revolution. This is a hobby project and while I would love to be able to pay an artist to create the art, the game has not generated the income to pay someone to draw even a single image.

I am not a big company trying to cut costs and I think that in some aspects actually the generative AI could act as an enabler of people's creativity. I'd like to think that this project is one such case. However, you are certainly entitled to your opinion on this matter.

Thanks! Glad that you liked the game.

Hello!

I am the creator behind The Secret of Langton Manor - an episodic print-and-play escape room  game that combines intriguing puzzles with a rich narrative set in a mysterious old mansion. The game is designed for 1-4 players and offers a blend of physical  gameplay and a digital component to verify the solutions and provide hints. Each episode brings the  players deeper into the manor's enigmatic history and offers about 1-2 hours of play.

For the current "Smol Games" jam, I'm working on a mini game titled "The Diary of John," which is set in the same universe. It is a compact single-page, single-player  adventure in a mini-zine format  that serves as a prequel to the main story. Players will uncover the backstory of John, a key character in the Langton Manor series, through his diary entries. It is designed to be a quicker experience, lasting approximately 5-15 minutes, with fewer and simpler puzzles than the main game.

Thank you for this opportunity to share my work with such a creative community!

You can just edit the submission from your submission page, it lets you change your answers.

As a part of this jam, I've created a free playable beta version of the game. Please note it has the following limitations:

1.  The mobile apps are not yet available. To play through the puzzles and check your solutions, you will need to download and print the provided solution key.

2.  Currently, only the A4 format of the game PDF is available. If you are in the US, you can still print it on Letter-sized paper; just expect a bit of white space around the edges of each page.

I would appreciate it if you could post a comment with your feedback in this thread after playing the game.
