yeah if i could redo it i think id make it so you could take more time to assemble in the house if you collect the items fast and want to use the extra time to build the rocket. I might make an update after the results are posted. Im glad you liked the items, the effects were fun to program!

A fun little game! The shooting feels nice, and the eggs and bacon are super satisfying to get a bunch of all at once to take out a bunch of enemies. I think the health is infinite lol, it seemed like I couldn't take damage sometimes and I think its cuz the hearts just keep adding to it. The dialogue was fun. The spinning mechanic is a little frustrating, I kept accidentally highlighting it or clicking off the page or scrolling or whatnot.
this is really well done. i like the ruleset and the randomization. makes dying a bunch of times not so bad. the progression was really good, and cobb had me clenching my ass. those last levels were pretty hard! the environmental sound design was great, i especially liked the music in the last level. i really like how big sounding cobbs stomping is, the sound designer did a good job making him feel enormous.
how do you get that pixel effect where the pixel size and orientation is always consistent? it looks awesome.
hey, i know its a bit past the jam but i really liked your game! here's some of the stuff i was thinking as i played through:
- i found a glitch if you get a flame and then leave the room you stay on fire forever and the flame doesn't respawn.
- i really like the big tiny section, it had some creative puzzles that felt super satisfying. and its cute being able to hop on the tiny mushrooms.
- swimming feels really satisfying, i like that you keep your velocity when turning around.
- the music is catchy!
- i wish the attacks were more satisfying. the range feels too short, and the skeleton falls over before the whip actually touches him a lot of the time.
- you can land on the edge of the spikes without actually getting hurt sometimes, but that's actually kinda nice.
- the platforming at the end felt really polished and fun.
- i couldn't figure out how to do the end? i got that flaming purple eye, and it seems like it just despawns after you get out of that area. all the flaming eye guys are still dark and not shooting at you. i wasn't sure if i got to the end or not. i went back a couple areas and everything looked the same so i stopped.
hey i really liked your game! it was a good couple hours playing through it. my bad if this is unasked for, but i thought id offer some feedback. take it or leave it
things i really like
- the dark vibe
- the music and sound effects are awesome
- the little spider enemies look really cool and intimidating
- the way light did the light is really cool
- progression feels very satisfying, i love blasting through a shit ton of rocks
- seriously the gun feels so satisfying
- oh my god i love the spider mount
- love the pathfinding on the way back for the robot arm
critiques
- the skill tree is a little crowded looking
- the 2d sprites with the 3dish spiders clash a little in my opinion. i bet this could be really cool though with some minor adjustments though, it kinda reminds me of the amazing world of gumball
- the ending feels out of nowhere. i wish we could’ve gotten to know the computer a little better. It says its grown close to us, but it didn’t seem like id built any connection with it. i didn’t even get a name from what i remember. maybe a bit of dialogue every once in a while when mining would give it more character?
this is fun! it took a second for me to get into, it was hard to gauge how far i would walk or how high i would jump. but once i started to get the hang of it the puzzles were really satisfying. maybe if you showed where each card would take you on its own rather than the final destination of all the cards, it would be a little more intuitive without taking away from the puzzle aspect.
this is awesome! its super polished, i'm surprised it only took a week. the mechanic when you lose the package and have to go retrieve it reminds me a lot of yoshis island, and i like that you have to take so many different routes through the same level. i sometimes did not understand what some of the penalties did though, like weightless
i love all the art and character design, its super creative and funny. the little role call with descriptions was a good touch, they're all very interesting and made me laugh. its a good concept, and i also like the upgrade system. i think it would be a lot more fun if there was more to do than just heal your allies. like maybe if another way to heal them besides just shooting them. or like the ability to make force fields to block enemies or somethin. it might also help the pacing if the enemies were more organized, and like came in waves or something.

Pitch/Information: You're playing as a dude working a boring office job, and have to keep yourself entertained by playing games when your boss isn't looking.
I'd like feedback on: Anything
I need help on: There's a bug when opening the computer where any obstacles that were on screen will pause for a second before moving. I stop them by setting their velocity to 0 when the computer is closed and setting it back to -10 when its open. It used to work fine but something changed and i've got no idea what happened.
