I'm not sure why it's doing that, but I did switch it to where it can be played in browser so maybe crisis averted?

The fight is definitely meant to feel difficult! The thief is your first of three boss battles in game. Your health depends on your race in some ways; in Act I, your health is equal to your constitution (or constitution + 2 for humans), in Act II it is raised by five points to constitution + 5! This will be a running theme for the next two Acts as well :D

Hmm, I can't seem to replicate this issue... can you tell me what device you are playing on? Also if you are using any special settings in the 'Settings' menu?
