Hi everyone,

I’ve just released Fish ’N Frog on itch.io for Windows and Linux.

Fish ’N Frog is a retro-style single-screen arcade puzzle game built around a simple idea:

Push blocks, crush fish, create chain reactions, and don’t get crushed yourself.

The game has 50 levels, with new enemy behaviours and mechanics introduced as you progress.

Some of the things you’ll run into include:

  • Armor Fish that can survive a hit and rebound moving blocks back toward you
  • Shocker Fish that can stun the frog and leave you vulnerable
  • Chain kills that reward lining up multiple enemies with a single moving block
  • The Bubble Wave, a special ability that can get you out of trouble, but gives fewer points than crushing enemies normally
  • Increasingly difficult pond layouts where positioning and escape routes start to matter a lot more

My goal was to make something that is immediately understandable in the way older arcade games often were, but becomes much more difficult to master once all the mechanics start interacting.

Here’s the trailer:

And here’s the itch.io page:

The Windows and Linux builds are both available directly from itch.io now.

Fish ’N Frog is also available for Windows through the Microsoft Store, but itch.io is now the main place where I’m expanding the game to additional platforms.

If you enjoy old-school arcade games, block-pushing puzzlers, high-score chasing, or games that start simple and gradually get meaner, I’d be glad to hear what you think.

Thanks for taking a look.
