Not sure why it was, but there was a slight delay to the cursor movements when selecting options with the keyboard. Couldn't tell if the game as a whole was laggy or just that aspect. Wasn't bad enough to where I couldn't complete the demo though.

The differing mindsets between Rex and Regina seems like a promising spark for some character arcs.

I'd recommend making the character icons on the turn timeline bar stand out a little more. Their face in the small diamond shape could be a little hard to distinguish sometimes.

Best of luck with the progress on this!

I was actually surprised, and kind of unsettled to see the consequence of losing that first boss fight. A fascinating premise.

Oh boy, not text-racism! It's rather interesting. The tone's been set well. One thing though, the dialog text can be somewhat difficult to read at times, depending on the area and the color. May want to touch that up in any updates.

Wait, isn't that Child Of Light then? I mean, she's basically a princess, so I see the confusion.

Not sure if this is the same bug you recently addressed, but I noticed on the last section that for whatever reason, 2 of the villagers seemed to just be absent. I was wondering if the game glitched them out of existence before they could perish, but after waiting for a while, I noticed that one of them rose out of the ground in the bottom-right corner of the screen. Which led me to think that maybe those two had clipped through the floor at some point, and miraculously floated back up.

Regardless, this was pretty fun. Died immediately when I had to traverse back through the cave myself. But, that's karma I guess!

Twas fantastic! Great art, well-polished, the singing frogs blew me away, and the final resolution was lovely. Such a cute little experience that you should be proud of. I had a great time.

"In the recently inhabited planet of Mars, journey through the dynamics of a young human civilization to save your lost friends...and perhaps many more."

Originally a mobile title available on the Play Store, Code of Mars has finally been updated for release on itch.io!

This old-school RPG features progressively fast, time-based battles, where you can create your own movesets to overcome the challenges standing in your way.  If you're a fan of other classic RPG's like old Final Fantasy, but enjoy a little more speed, customizability, and less random battles, then you should definitely give this one a go!

Play in your browser on itch.io now, or download from the Play Store.
