Yeah, I tried to avoid that the best I can. Kicking the ball has a bit of bias towards the AI goal, but if you need to backtrack to get the ball it's really hard not to score it in your own goal haha.

Clik... Da... Buton!

So this is my first ever game. It's not much, but I gave it my all.

Key learnings:

  • Scope creep is real
  • Keep things simple
  • You don't need to make the next Silksong while learning
  • Have fun

There were so many things that I wanted to do but was not able to. It got to the point where I wanted to just delete the project and move onto the next one with everything I've learned so far, but I concluded that if I can't finish one game, then why bother starting another more complicated one?

In the end, (Linkin Park reference), I stripped it back. No cloud saves.  No Leaderboards. No anti-cheat systems. Just a small game that's fun to play (for me at least). If you do play it, I hope you enjoy it.
