Thanks a lot for the detailed feedback, it really helped! The first boss is meant to be a wall you push through, but you're right that failing it was too punishing early on. In the next update, dying at low levels only costs part of the run's loot instead of most of it, the rest bonus wait starts at 30 seconds and grows with your level, and the Head to Exit button pulses before the boss wave so you know you can leave with your loot.

thanks for the honest feedback and glad the concept clicked for you. we're a two person indie team, and we disclosed the AI use up front because we'd rather be transparent about it. it's what lets the two of us build a game of this scope. if you give the demo a try, we'd genuinely love to hear what you think of the gameplay itself.

Hi everyone! We're Boisha Games, a two-person team, and we just released the free demo of PSYCHOBYL on itch.io.

PSYCHOBYL is an idle extraction RPG set in the Chernobyl Zone in 2084, after it exploded for a second time. You play a stalker raiding the Zone for loot. Combat plays out on its own, turn by turn, while you build your character, gear and perks. The real decision in every raid is when to leave: push one more wave for better loot, or extract before you die and lose half or all of what you collected.

Between raids you upgrade your hideout, craft, research and get ready for harder parts of the Zone. The demo already has a lot to dig into.

Heads-up: we used AI tools in development, and it's disclosed on the game page.

We'd love to hear what you think, especially about the balance and how the first hour feels!
