Absolutely amazing! The flying sequences are so smooth, the art style and color scheme is terrific. Another fantastic game by you guys.

The artwork, as usual with your games, is great... although, I would recommend remaking the dialog characters to match the art style. Great game as always.

I absolutely love the art style, and thank you for incorporating both WASD and arrows... as an old lefty I prefer arrows.

Hahaha... it makes me happy that people have nicknames and expectations for Detective Duncan. Also, your joke about him being too fat of a cop to jump was hilarious... that's for sure more believable than me, the dev, simply not designing it well... let's go with that.

Oh man, I'll have to look into that after the jam, not sure what might cause that. Thanks for the heads up.

This is a fun game, but that's way too much Sweet Baby Ray's!!!

"so" buggy? What did you find?

Thanks for playing my game and streaming it... it's always fun to watch people play my games and watch them notice things I may not think about, so your feedback during playing was extremely helpful.

Thanks pal. I wanted this game to be more interactive but also didn't want it to feel redundant or lackluster. I'm glad the different levels and changing backgrounds did just that. I know the levels could have been longer, and I need to modify the jump mechanic, I think if he jumps just a little higher than the game will flow better.

This game is great... I'm a sucker for cutscenes and storytelling.  Great job.

Thanks my guy... what did you think about the intro and outro? I wanted to go more cinematic this time. Also, were all the levels easy to figure out? I was a bit worried about the lava pit level...

Thanks, I'll mess around with the jump mechanic to try and improve it.  Not sure which "Game of Death" you are referring to... but I have to assume it, much like my game, is based off the 1924 short story "Most Dangerous Game".

This was a fun game... good job in taking the game concept of the previous Jam winner but building on it with the raising water mechanic.

This was a fun game, I don't think it's too short... took me some time to figure out a few of the levels, but it was a really cool game.  Adding different backgrounds could help with visually displaying game progression.

This game was a lot of fun... the child-like art style is really great. The cheese splats when you hit the pizza was hilarious.

I really enjoyed the art style... would have liked it zoomed in a bit more, but overall, it was a fun game.

This a great start to an interesting game, you should definitely continue to polish it. If you're looking for ideas: I would recommend creating a menu page, instructions/tutorial, player animations, and also loop the game so when you die it brings you back to the menu page (or restarts the current level).  Overall, it's a good game, way to go!

It's tricky for sure, but not impossible. I did intend for the player to take 2-3 attempts... once you learn the path it's quite simple. Did you like the rest of the game?

Funnily enough the timing and pacing of the cutscenes and dialog took up the most time.  That and artwork took up a ton of time, especially only using 10 colors, which somehow was hard than only using 4 colors... go figure.  The mini games were actually simple, the pipe game I took from another conveyer belt game I abandoned, and the orb game used a moon orbit bundle from another game... that I haven't completely abandoned yet.  I'm glad you like the game, as soon as I heard the theme, I knew I was gone do this story... which is actually I story I've had in my head for a decade.  Thanks man, and your Starblast games are always visually fun to play.

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it.  I had another mini game about memory/matching but could get the programming right.  I might aim to add a few more levels to help flesh out the middle part of the story... but I'll for sure add a skip button.

This game is amazing! Great Job!

Another great retro arcade style game.

This was extremely well made, the story was simple to follow, and the levels were tricky enough that they were interesting.  The art could be better, but it is consistent which is good.  Overall, a really fun game, and the ending cutscene was great.

This was a really fun game, way too much information for me visually, but I was engaged the whole time.  I also really like the structure of the cover art, very gloomy, but you should make the title more noticeable.  Way to go!

(1 edit)

This was a great game for 24hrs... the theme connection was nice. Good job!

I've actually had the idea for over a decade and have been working on it as a novel.

You may want to return that mouse... haha... It's meant to take you a few turns, but once you learn the path it should be simple to beat. Thanks for playing.

Believe it or not it was actually harder before, I slowed down the speed of the sparks.  The trick is to not move around so much.

Like the game froze or you couldn't beat it?

Thanks bud

Thanks man, I needed it to be small because I wanted as much time to help with JRs game.

Are you kidding me with this?!?!?! The juicyness of this game is off the charts... AMAZING!!

The way you made the seals and fish is pure wizardry!!! All it needs is a good backstory some objectives.  Great job!

You should try it again, each level has a door that opens once you kill the boss.  The levels aren't that big so you should be able to find them.

Does this game not work? I'm seeing all these comments, but I can't even click the play button.  I went to the flowlab page but having the same problem.

What do you mean you couldn't figure it out?

I really glad everyone is liking the intro, as you know from most of my games, I love a good story.  I'm taking some notes from various comments and perhaps I will rework a little bit... add some juice as the kids say.

This is a well-made game, I'm impressed with how much you got done in 2 weeks.  The title is funny and explains perfectly what to expect.  The artwork could use some more continuity, but a really fun puzzle game. Good job!

This is the best of your 3 entrees... but I recommend for the next jam that you spend the entire 2 weeks on making a single game.  You tell really fun stories that would benefit from different types of enemies, some collectibles, and background art.

Thanks, I really like the intro as well, and the shadow puppets fit the theme nicely.  For the credits, I just kept adjusting the speed until it matched the length of the song.
