This game either needs a grace period, or enemies need to not increase in strength every turn. Since the map is randomly generated every time, if you get a bad map, the enemies are going to be stronger than you by the time you reach them. And since you start with 10 gold and 1 perk, there's nothing you can do to be stronger than them.

Honestly, while the two current upgrades are nice, they're not super helpful. The game is based off of Minesweeper, but neither of the upgrades actually help with the mine sweeping. Digging speed and being able to carry more stuff speed things up, but most of your time is still spent deducing where the mines are. I don't think the game should solve it for you, but it should make it easier as you progress.

I like how this game genre shifted twice. First we start as a launch game, and it's like oh that's neat. Then we get to the first star, and it becomes a Flappy Bird. And then we reach the second star and it becomes a space shooter.

My two biggest complaints about the game are: 1.Invincibility ends as soon as your dash ends, meaning if you undershoot you suffer a penalty. And 2. The bosses trail seems to ignore invincibility all together. If the boss corners you with its trail, its essentially game over because you can't dash through it.
