This game looks amazing, and cute, of course.

Well, based the fairies just go around poking toads, who are like much larger than them, and could swallow them whole. Those fairies for sure don't fear or their lives.

That's not Small, its another character. I'll name it... Well "Gravisquare", cause that's literally the game name, and possibly the name of this creature.

Also, I saw that there were players with their pawn having customizations, for example, one with a scarf. How can you use that and where you find it?

I liked this game.  But what in the world was this orange pawn that appeared? Was it a enemy? It just appeared suddenly, and I saw it moved once I moved, I'll presume it was going after me something.

Well, when it appeared on my way, when I put another tile, the lighting strike, and I lost. So I have no idea what that circle-eye orange pawn does. Do you know what that thing was? Probably, I lost cause this pawn counted as a obstacle or something, so I couldn't pass through.

Yeah, I call them pawns cause they look like chess pawns.

HOW DID YOU MADE THE BACKGROUND?? Like, the trees move realistically, and the sea too. How could you do this? It does seems like you just did them frame by frame, but same is for the animations of your most recent game, Infinite Tree Pinball, the way how the slimes move and stuffs... Its amazing! I also love the animations of the player character, they are well-made! They really got a evolution, they used to look like a green, rectangular blob on the jam version, but now they are a human (and a bald one as we can see). It reminds me of how Baba changed design in Baba Is You, where they used to look like a robot or alien, but on the remake, they were redesigned to a weird creature resembling a cat.

Another game by a active PuzzleScript user? Amazing! Did you heard about the game I'm working on? Its titled SWAP BOX. Its not finished for now, but I'm already working on the third and final world. But I would like to know if you liked it! ("kiled" I wrote it wrong)

For those who are bad at math, this game will be a hell. And the music can be considered as like a boss music. But really, you always makes innovating ideas, in only few months. Its impressing. Just showing how you games are better than they seem. Also, do you really make those modern games on Stencyl? I looked at your Stencyl account just to find your old games, not those we have today from Steam, Itch.io, Poki, Coolmath Games, and other websites. So I'm not sure if you moved to another engine, I feel that you couldn't just do effects like those from your modern game, such as the "bounce" effect when the character jumps and moves.

Its sad most peoples don't know about his games. Not even when he put them on Poki, a popular website. Then, about his Steam games... They had only few gameplay videos. Chessformer was his only game that was actually kinda more popular compared to the rest, played by both Icely Puzzles and Aliensrock, so its great to see at least some of his games aren't this forgotten. But about most are well-known compared to Kombine and Escape Zolstar, those were the most forgotten, to the point I found few to no gameplays of them. But for Kombine, none, nothing, only on Pointless' speedrun videos.

I thought on a Super Mario Maker-like game or every his games. But unfortunately, he isn't anymore active here to tell you. But I would like if he did one, it would be even more fun. But I doubt he would do one. It would need much effort, based he does games alone.

I would like a game like Super Mario Maker where you could make your own levels, able to select themes from every game by Robert. It sounds fun.

DoubleTheFun may like this wiki.

(1 edit)

At least, its great to he is still working on games. But now on Poki. Based nobody ever made one. I made a wiki for his games where I plan to make guides in, but it is unfinished. Robert Alvarez Wiki, you can contribute to it if you want. Where it'll be to give details about every made by him. Including his most obscure games, such as Blinky's Escape10 ShotsR0b3r7 the Robot, and more.

(1 edit)

This game is one of the most well-made games made by you, but the one in first place is, no doubt... Escape Zolstar!

(1 edit)

Fun fact: Isotiles is the only game to be published on Poki to not to be a platformer. All other top-down games aren't on Poki, which is sad.

Another fun fact: The player character from this game (named by me as Isometric Cube) is the profile picture of Robert's Twitter account too. I'm not sure if it was cause he like his game Isotiles (I love this game too, would like a third game), or it was a old profile picture, which he never really changed.

(1 edit)

Fun fact: Isotiles 2 is the only games of the Rob1221 series to be a sequel of another game.

But I love this game. But its good to see the first game on Poki, but the sequel is only for Steam and Itch.io only. Before, your games seemed to have even more effort, which are more soundtracks, levels, and stuffs. There even had BOSSES! Sad you aren't doing any other non-puzzle game, it would be cool to see another metroidvania games after Escape Zolstar.

Unfortunately, this was the last game he made on Itch.io. Now its only Poki.

(1 edit)

No, its just that Robert reuses parts of other characters. Or their entire designs but recolored. But its okay if you want to get with this story.

CYM creatures

Based they have no name, and the fact you have no idea who they are or WHY they are there. I'll make a own fanmade info of them. And gave them names... Ummmm... Nothing much for those, just Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow

Species

I'm doing a species thing, cause, based the characters from the "Rob1221universe" may reuse designs from others. I'll count them from "species", which count their physical features. For example, Big, Tall, and Small (from Big Tall Small) have oval eyes which are totally black, and have legs, so their species are beady, square, and legged. While Time Cloner (from Time Clones) have white eyes with black pupils, so its species is peeper, circle, and legged. And stuffs. However, the CYM creatures have a unique design that wasn't reused, which happened only to few characters. So their species is... Bacteria. Cause they look like bacterias.

Origin

Then, with my entire story I made for the Rob1221dev series. I made a story which the characters are like digital, being on a simulation or something. Based it wouldn't make much sense for them to be on those strange places. So, the same thing applies to the CYM creatures. So I guess then it'll make sense why are there.

Goal

Their goal is to push boxes. It doesn't seem that there is any reason for them to push those into targets. But remember, its you who are controlling them.

Yes, that's what I thought. But top-down edition.

Now, my biggest efforts are to make a block you cannot swap through. Hopefully, I'll do it to work the way I want.

Also, sad news, I removed this thing of each world having 10 levels cause the room for the legend is getting way TOO long. But I hope you won't mind there having less levels. But once I make this game, it'll be good to see I finished it. I guess it took weeks to make it. Or maybe it'll even take a month.

Making this game takes much effort. But I won't give UP. But I'll just slow down a bit. I have other stuffs to do around. Not only making a game.

Update, for now, I'll expand the grass world. So  I'll leave he sea world with only 2 levels for now, not only this. I'm also working on maybe one of the trippiest mechanics I ever did, world blocks, which when pushed into the world block targets, the world block will change the level to be like the world it represents. But I only did a world block for world 1, and I'm trying to make it work. So for example, sea will turn into a hole, the sea world's tiles will turn into grass world tiles, or objects made for world 2 will turn into their closest equivalent, or another object that could replace them simply. I hope you like this feature cause I find it just crazy, and I hope you also think so.

(1 edit)

Why do posts and devlogs seem to have more views than the others? So, I saw that my post "SWAP BOX Update" got a insane amount of views and likes, not really "insane", but higher than average. Anyways, while this update was small for SWAP BOX, and the sea update was maybe way more interesting (and look that is only the start, also, I'll expand grass world to have 4 more levels, so each world will have 10 levels each), specially cause I added the Arrow Totems. But for some reason, all those other posts about its developement that didn't had comments, they had less views. But the small update post just blow up with views when the moderator commented on it, and I then replying it. Same for a devlog mine, which was for a update for small fixes and additions, which when I made a comment to give a update about fixing a mistake I fixed, it also got many views. Does comments makes the post appear more on the top? I want to know why it happens.

(1 edit)

But didn't I said it was one?

Wow. I didn't expected it to get so many views and likes! I wonder why... So it was good? Maybe due to the unique mechanics added there, but the later ones from the sea world are cool as well.

(1 edit)

Another thing to note is that I updated level 8 after seeing you walk past arrows, so I made a line of three Arrow Totems to make you unable to exploit on that.

Edit: I forgot to add Sara to level 8, now I added her there.

SWAP BOX, that large PuzzleScript game, have gotten another update. And a good one!

So. Ever saw a world in a PuzzleScript game? No? We'll, I managed to code a unique floor to it, and made a differently-working equivalent of the world 1 holes, the sea. It making most objects to sink, turning into platforms.

But one can swim through such waters, and is purple. The SWIM BOX!

It can walk through water after passing through a shore, but gets back to land upon touching a rock floor. Also, pillars take the purpose of the holes in this world, being solid.

Also, Sara the Sign is around each levels. Can you find her all those times? If you care to, of course. She is a bonus and easter egg. Each appearance, she says a different dialogue or even a tip some times.

This is a big update, but SWIM BOX took me the MOST time to make it work. Also, if you wonder how I did the unique floor, I actually coded them to if there are sea world tiles into the grass world (world 1) ones into world 2 tiles, so avoid there having a world 1 tile into world 2, which will instead cause every world 1 tile to be converted into a world 2 one if there is at least one world 2 tile. It as pretty easy,  but was all I could do. So sorry if you see the world1 tile when something appears there, some times. They only get converted when you makes your move, same for the shores appearing, and I don't want to put that "Real-time" thing cause I want enemies act to your movements like in BABA IS YOU. Yeah, those stuffs were kinda based on this game, but the wait feature was the most based on that game. It'll be non-realtime so it gets more of puzzle and not like a timing stuff.

What if Yellow Face gained a platformer

(1 edit)

I love how each story of the characters coincide with the ending from other characters, basically, all of those happen in the same place. For example, when the Underling killed the Overlord on their ending, and Overlord dies in the same way on one of her endings, killed by the Underling.

(2 edits)

Okay. Also, I don't have a screenshot, but I could use something as a placeholder, maybe. Like the game's icon, if I can do that, of course.

Swap Box got two new levels, one adds items and the other Sokobots. I'll also add something new after a time later.

We have now two levels: "The Blues" and "Robot Heist" (aka "Run!").

This is a game about swapping place with boxes, and placing them on the targets, then escape through the spring.

This games wasn't been fully relased.

Anyways, the new objects introduced here are:

Blue orbs (Blueitem): Turn the SWAP BOX into a SLEEP BOX

SLEEP BOX (Blueplayer): Cannot swap places with boxes, instead, it pushes them.

Magenta orb (Magentaitem): Turn the SLEEP BOX into a SWAP BOX.

Sokobot: They are the enemies that move vertically or horizontally, they'll kill in contact and can push boxes. They can also survive lasers (a upcoming thing to add related to them)

...And legends say that peoples are till saying this, even if Earth ends.

I noticed that the start of each level, for a brief second, you sees he level placing itself on the center. Similar to the start of every level in the jam build of Baba Is You.

"Game Girl Color", and so, in a alternate universe...

Anyways, good!

(1 edit)

As if the monster under your bed wasn't bad enough. Imagine one like this.

If you don't be careful, peoples will compare the player to Among Us, its just a matter of time.

Here is the link, you can say later if you liked it!: https://blower-pot.itch.io/swap-box-beta

I would be happy to see you rate my game, and maybe say if you liked it. I would like to know if you found it great, or puzzley (puzzley = with not so easy puzzles).

A new game I made about swapping place with boxes. The story is that sun explode, a dreadful new. So you controls the titular SWAP BOX, which was send to a landscape of tiles above the ground, and very high place, well, the walls here were meant to be the background, better saying, holes, showing the world below you, so let's image that SWAP BOX can't fall on those cause it is afraid of heights, right? But back explaining the game, it have to charge the boxes by pushing them at the targets. Then, go toward the spring to bounce to the next level. But be aware that you have to do both, if you just leave, you won't win. Can you charge them all, turn on the great lightbulb, and save Earth from a sunless, cold demise? If you save them in time, of course.

For now there's only 3 levels, but behind my game's code. There are lots stuffs I made, to be added. And if I make at least 3 levels or less or more. I'll add a update on developer notes. This games had for now 2 updates. One was the start, and the second added springs and a main player (which is the SWAP BOX you starts with on the level, and the only that can use the springs)
