Ok finished the game with the alt ending method. Nice addition, much appreciated. Looking forward for the next update, it basically fixes all the nitpicks I found. Want to contribute with one or two more that I think are worth a mention: - the center screen dot remains ON even during the ending cutscene, just for polishing purposes it could be cool if it just deactivates during that moment ahah - it's probably just flavour at this point, but I think Norman's arm should be invisible during the "waking up from the floor" animation when you start the game/die, just like OG PT. Personally speaking it's fine as it is, but maybe for purists can be a nice touch. Furthermore, if you need a double check for the italian translation I can help you in my spare time. I didn't play OG PT though, so I don't know what are the exact words used in the original released game (if it was translated, I have no idea ahaha), but I can look at them and see if they came out "natural". For the letter positioning, put the "center screen dot" in the option menu ON, it helps a lot when inserting the letters, just point with the dot where the letter should go, don't use the letter shadow as a reference, it's misleading.
First off, trigger the first baby laugh, then it's letter chasing.
We got the C part, just take the letter, flip it in the mirror and insert it.
Then the J, take the J and place it AFTER the A, on the left. Basically, now you got the C, A and J. it's Jack spelled backwards (hinted by the backwards messages during the last loop), so where to find the supposed K?
That's the A after the stairs, where in reality it's not an A but a K, you have to collect the letter sideways, when it looks like a K. If you take it the wrong way just flip it and put it next to the C.
Flashlight flickers, third laugh. Stay still until the phone rings. Answer the phone zooming on it.
The "secret alt method" is cool, don't get me wrong, and you should leave it there, it's a "personal ester egg", people that are looking for a PT experience already had it and it's perfect as it is, they wouldn't even know that this solution exists just because they are following a walkthrough, just like me, and if they want more they will be delighted to know that there is "something more" for them if they pay attention. For others, they just want to see the ending, even the people that doesn't have a mic, and I fall in the last group sadly, but it doesn't mean that you are doing wrong, ultimately you can do whatever you do with the game, I'm just a guy that can only cross his fingers. I'm having fun trying to figure out the last ending though, it's a bit tedious but seeing progress helps. Looking forward to PT Solid

Soooo, any hints about how to achieve the ending without mic? Got the C in place but I have no clue about what to do with the A, I already spent 2+ hours in this, tried every combination of actions in different orders
As far as I know, you need a mic in order to finish the last loop for the second baby laugh. Can I suggest a workaround for people like me that doesn't have a microphone? Like an accessibility option
The grind was real tho, but it was a nice ride! I have a question, no two: if I change the date on my pc in order to meet the requirements for buying the remaining hats, will the tako survive the time shift? And if it dies, the hats are gone forever? I don't want to prematurely end the life of my old ass tako :(
I'm just here to say that I got ALL the hats (excluding the time based ones). I'm playing this game since the shop was implemented, so it took me a bit of time in order to complete the game lol
