I've played every NES Mega Man game. Mega Man W, so far, is harder than all of them. The over-use of instant death traps is a common trend in Mega Man fan games and rom hacks and, in my opinion, is "fake difficulty."  Even if Mega Man games are supposed to be challenging, the originals have balance. If fan-games' idea of balance is the utilities that are on offer, that is not good game design since that means players are supposed to farm bolts to unlock everything first before exploring. I've played too many fan games like this and I'm honestly getting tired of them having no balance like the originals.

You also only responded to my more to my critiquing suggestions and none of my QoL suggestions which is very telling. 

I really wanted to like this game but it's just another unbalanced fan-game and I no longer have interest in playing it. I wanted to have fun. Not die every other screen.

A few suggested changes.


-Make more, or all, the ladders hang down one tile to make them easier to grab. One in Beam Man's stage was particularly annoying to grab.

-Make config options accessible from stages (maybe hit select to open menu).

-Less instant death traps in Cinder Lady's stage. Particularly that one area with ladder in between 2 lava falls. Too many unfair deaths there.

-Make chest with letter in Maelstrom Woman's stage lower so that using bubble will allow mega man to grab it. Not really sure what the "intended" method is.

-More contrast between foreground and background graphics. I'm getting fooled by too many background graphics thinking they are platforms.

-Music could use a rework. None of the songs are very catchy, they are super repetitive, and do not have a melody that stands out.

-Option to skip robot master dialogues (select button doesn't skip???)
