The Portfolio Builders Jam - Week #31 is almost over and I didn’t find a team in time. But the three above me, along with a level designer, have expressed interest in doing the project anyway.

The project is:

A somber and minimalist 2D platformer where you guide a robot named Elara in collecting a planet’s memory cores from their orbiting rings.

These cores float up from dying planets and linger in their orbits. Collecting them gives Elara a peak into what life used to exist there. But to get them, she has navigate the hazardous rings around the planet.

Hello, I’m Blankmarks. I was one of the writers on the visual novel “As Inside, From Within”. I chose not to be credited at the time, as my route was being changed, and I had a feeling the project wouldn’t move beyond the demo. Eight months later, that seems to have been the case.

But I wrote over 10,000 words for the High School Student route, and I’d really like to see it finished and released. The story is complete, and I have a seasoned programmer on board. I’m planning a much smaller, standalone version of the game. No voice actors, no paid assets, just a tightly focused visual novel built with care and intention.

👉 This project is not affiliated with the original team. I have no rights to any other routes or assets and will not use them. The title will be changed, and if necessary, I’ll alter names and the prologue to fully respect the original creators.
