Hi all, a while back I entered into the Jacksepticeye game jam (https://itch.io/jam/jamsepticeye/feed).
Before the game jam started I lost my best friend Stuart, he drowned on a night out drinking. 
I swore off alcohol because I believed it was the alcohol which truly took him but I crumbled and started drinking destructivley. 
Then my brother told me about the Jacksepticeye game jam and how fitting was the theme of the jam "Death is an opportunity".
The game jam consumed me, in fact I spent the entire period of the jam from the moment I woke to the moment I slept building Bloom Beyond

It kept me off the drink and in some ways it helped me to deal with his death
So without further adieu, here is a playtest video of the current released BETA testers version of the game which is free for download on my account.

The game is a platfom puzzle game with boss battles, story arc and powerups.

The game is called bloom beyond. 
The theme for the game is death is an opportunity. 

In bloom beyond every time you die your corpse spawns and can be used to progress through levels. 
I’ve put a lot of effort into the game including putting up an online high score system.

I enjoyed playing your game. It was quite addictive but I think that it could be reworked a bit on the game loops.

it’s an old fps game. It’s nothing like your game tbh just the realism of the hands threw me back through the nostalgia. I heard blood is getting remade though

needs a bit of work but it was fun :D

This is awesome, the CTR effect is beautiful! But I didn't quite get what to do.

Ok I played your game, It's a great challenge, was difficult to get the hang of using the right weapons. Very well built well done. High score from me :D

Yea I get you man, Well if you want to write easy 8bit music download fami tracker, its free software to write music, pretty powerful if you can learn how to use it properly.

Wow so this is what a full team is capable of accomplishing and in such little time.

I think you guys will probably win. I love the grainy aesthetic, so oldskool ps2 vibes, I still play ps2 btw. Small glitch I noticed, mouse disappeared when I pushed esc pause on the menu. The esc menu in game should have controls option too. The cameras taking pictures made me feel uneasy haha, strong puzzle aspect :D

I think the interact button should be spacebar if [A][D] are move and mouse is message settings.

Ey Yo, first you took my eyes, then you took my gun bro.
Great progression, caught me off guard I nearly turned it off thinking this is gonna be bad.
Needs a sprint button or something though. It was sick I love the lives system. High rating for me

You should make move tiles in the background of platform levels.
