> I cannot promise you guys that I will continue working with itch in the future…

That would be really unfortunate, considering that I just bought Hex of Steel. My issue is that I use FreeBSD as my operating system. Hex of Steel runs perfectly fine under Wine, but Steam is still a PITA in this environment.

If itch.io support were to be discontinued, it would be great to offer HoS on another DRM-free store (GOG is the most obvious choice).

Oddly mesmerizing. The tower defense elements in the last level were a nice surprise.

Beautiful art, especially the crystal lake. I didn't play to the end because I am not to good with platformers, but what I played was really satisfying.

When checking for user input, I would suggest to use the scancode to check what key was pressed. I am using the german keyboard layout and had to unpack the .love file and hack Input.lua to use 'y' for jump.

My personal best is 28.891 seconds. Of course it's always a little luck dependent, but it seems I suck at my own game :)

I don't know what it is, but somehow this game resonates with me. I love the sounds and the CRT effect.
