I quite enjoyed Way Home. If you're looking for a solid symphonic instruments plugin, I've been using BBC Symphony Discover by Spitfire audio. For a free plugin the sounds are quite good.

The switch to chiptune for Bullet Hell Upside-Down Cake fits the game idea (top-down farming sim during the day with bullet hell combat at night, right?) Dissociation Delamination is really neat, I was trying to think of a phasing canon type thing but couldn't pull it off.

I'm a music composer currently looking to build out my portfolio using game jams. I feel like I can get pretty creative with this theme, so if you're looking for some free music, shoot me an email at the address on my itch profile.

Here is a link to an OST composing jam I just wrapped up. It's on the orchestral side of things but I'm always looking to branch out stylistically.

If you describe your game and its story, and maybe what kinds of moods/sounds you're looking for, I can put together a quick sketch or three for you to approve/disapprove. If you like what I send, I'll work to fill it out and get it ready for your game before the deadline.

If it's a thumbs up, I'll keep working on it to get it ready before the jam deadline.

Thanks! I wholeheartedly agree, my main disappointment with the submission is that there could be more interplay between the character parts.

Had I more time, I'd probably have composed an additional piece as a love theme, which I could have then referenced somehow in the other pieces.

I'll give soundfonts a look, it's basically sounds for the game engine itself to play using MIDI?
