i think that prioritizing speed over quality is very disappointing because it highlights inefficiencies in processes that gamejams aim to improve, but its kinda the same thing for me as with not finishing the game or finishing it late. but i like your prospective, you have clarified some points for me
and thank you for your kind words! im glad you liked the game
the game is great! movement feels nice, i liked the artstyle, and i think the gameplay is solid. tho, i think controlls are very unintuitive, there are just too many buttons. simplify it a bit, let the player use the jump button to swing a pickaxe mid-air, do not involve mouse buttons for respawning, let me use the R button if I can use spawnpoint still, it woud help the gameflow a ton!
great game! i like how you interpreted the theme: different body parts are responsible for different actions and they overheat independently, very clever. i think the controls are a bit funny; i don't understand why you have to shoot with the mouse in a such 2-dementional game, it's distracting, moving platforms feel frustrating because they move without the player, and I don't know why the timer doesn't reset when a player dies. but apart from that, it's a good game! i had a great time playing
honestly, this game is amazing! i wasn't ready for it, but the gameplay was surprisingly innovative, it was fun to play and easy to understand. the graphics are simple, yes, but very fitting and look funny! but the good sound was what was lacking. if there were more songs, the game would have been so much better
