The Goal

For each player that you throw through the ring on the outside of the play area you will get 5 points and each building you throw will give you 1 point the time left in the match will be displayed on the blimp circling the map. When the time runs out switch seats and the next player can have a turn destroying the city.

DESTROY EVERYTHING

Instructions

Players will grab a controller (up to 4) to start the local split screen. One player will be in VR. Each player for the split screen experience will press the A Button to indicate that they are ready.

Once each player is ready the game will begin.

There is a 10 second window where the VR character is unable to see the other players so they can hide. The monster character will be able to start smashing the city and hunting for players.

Known Bugs

  • Players may get stuck when thrown by the monster in VR
  • Spawn points are not randomized
  • Players can move buildings

Credits

  • Lead Developer - Landon Butterworth
  • Developer - Alex Apperley
  • Lead Designer - Daniel Harrison

Progress Update 6/24/16

We have been working hard on the game since PegJam2016 and we wanted to share some of our progress. We have enhanced the split screen gaming with a more robust character selection screen where you are now a different colour which we intend to be a class selection screen once you can fight back.

We have also improved the grabbing mechanics to make it a little more fluid while picking up objects. We have added a face to the monster so now when playing as a controller character you are able to see where the monster is looking to make it a little easier to hide.

We have also added a 10 second window at the beginning of the game where the monster can not see the players to give them time to hide.

Bugs

  1. Players still move buildings so you will be able to find them easily.
  2. Sometimes when grabbed you will get stuck in the ground

Please give us feedback and let us know what kind of features you would like in a game like this, we want to build something that is actually fun so this is your chance to impact the development.

Created a new topic First Demo

Code White: Irresponsible Science

This is a blended multiplayer game. that blends traditional gaming aspects with VR experiences, the working title is "Code White: Irresponsible Science". It's a collection of mini games that pit the player in VR against 1-3 other players on the computer all based around the central story of experiments gone wrong. Our objectives with this project are: simple, silly, fun, inclusive.

WARNING

This is an early tech demo and has not been tested on all machines and may have game breaking bugs. Please report bugs to info@bitspacedevelopment.com or here in the comments.

Glad you like it, can't wait for you to try more :)

We have a build we will be releasing soon, make sure you have your Vive set up and xbox controllers ready. We are hoping for some feedback for what is fun / what isn't fun.

The trailer has been posted, we will have downloadable builds available soon. We have fluid multiplayer working between VR and non-VR players. A very interesting party game prototype. This page will be updated as we release portions of the game.
