Game jams kind of do whatever the jam runner wants, so: go nuts, submit as many as you want. I’d personally focus on submitting one that’s been given a lot of thought over several less thoughtful things personally but that’s not a best practice so much as my advice to you. Good luck!

If you have to ask, you probably know the answer.

As long as there’s a PDF or plaintext file that’s probably fine.

Mandatory if submitting a word-processed document. The document in question must adhere to the rules set. All of those listed fonts are free and should work with whatever word processor you use.

When I’d like them to.

You can export with them, just don’t worry about them when writing. The pages will break where they break.

Thank you!

Yes! In downloads, apocalypse_frame_sheet_only.png and apocalypse_frame_sheet_and_reference.png. (Check the back of your book if you don’t have the game digitally yet.)

Sure, that probably falls under Framed by the Apocalypse: https://binary-star-games.itch.io/fbta

Depends on what you mean by that.

Just put ‘em on the same grid cell! Make the grid bigger if they don’t both fit.

Yep, you can fit multiple characters per zone. A few weapons expect it, even!

Thank you!

Sure, feel free to contact via my email on my itch page.

This is incredible work. Holy shit.

Thank you so much! Couldn’t have done it without your basis.

Yes, this one’s currently on the backburner because other projects are taking priority. I’ve got a half-finished Region or two that I’ve been iterating on when I have time and ideas for it.

Absolutely fucks

Whoops! Should be:

  • 7+Drive Vigor
  • Speed-1 Tension
  • 7+Control Fuel

Totally fine by me! I love HARDSCRABBLE so far!

Sure.

Thank you!

Yep, good call. Tarantula is 8 Vigor, 2 Shields, 1 Restoration; Brigand is 8 Vigor, 2 Restorations.

It’s an add-on to Valiant Horizon that includes 4 Ages to put into the past of your setting and guidance to help you do that, 3 classes per Age (so 12 total) that can either replace OR be used alongside the existing 12 classes, and a spread of new enemies for each Age. (I realized belatedly that I never actually put the description in so that’s fixed!)

Thank you!

Thank you!

This is intentional because it ties in with the Relationship system. At those levels, you should have some relationships with people - those Relationships let you take their powers, reactions, and standards instead of your own!

Hope you enjoy!

Sure thing!

Thank you!

These are all good questions! A lot of the answers to these are going to be because the game isn’t 100% complete. (The final edition is crowdfunding starting today!)

  • The intended combat map is a zone map, as described on page 20. You can do hexes or something if you want but if you do, keep maps a little small: like 10x10 at most, otherwise high speed is too much of an asset. We intend to include some sample zone maps in the Titanic Eclipse Edition .
  • This is something we intend to expand upon, but for now it’s a little unexplored. Maybe roll up your friendly/neutral/hostile factions and say that the mission is for the friendly one against the hostile one. Up to you really.
  • Yeah basically. It’s a little faster than the hexflower method, it’ll get you something close to Power Vacuum in the book.
  • We are intending to add a few more oracles to help with this kind of thing but yeah, if you feel there should be a detail, you can establish one and then decide how you want to act on it. (Some of those kinds of things have more valence in one kind of mission as opposed to another: if you’re here to meet a contact, a ship requesting assistance might be your goal!)

Hell yeah!

Glad to hear it!

Yes.

Thank you!

Thank you so much!

Thank you!

Thank you! Kind of figured you in particular would, haha

Thank you!

Someone’s made a google-sheet for it (the same person as for the base game), I just haven’t gotten around to uploading it yet. No VTT integration but at the same time this isn’t really a game that needs a lot of calculation, it’s pretty easy to run without it.

Sure.

Ideally, yes. Please read the instructions next time.

If it’s a more generalized system (as described in your “what are you working on” post), it might make more sense to leave it at that for now and make the adventure/archetypes in more focused iterations.
