Narrative games are hard to get done during a jam especially with decent art and I think this hits a perfect balance. The narrative was compelling and it was a very silly little game that was an overall enjoyable experience. I do think some of the dialogue is a bit too long so sprinkling in gameplay between or breaking it up with stuff to do would be a welcome addition. Otherwise good effort!

Story games are really hard to do during these jams and I really appreciate the effort put in. The art compliments the story well enough and the systems you built work well for the type of game this is. I just think that its important for future jams to add gameplay even if its just 'Walk from A to B'. I think things like that really help with the story telling and allows players to put themselves in the shoes of the characters. Either way really impressive and good effort!

Its an engaging game and very competent. I like the concept of a rhythm based food service game and I think it was executed well. Only gripe I have is with the AI written theme description and text! Its fine as a placeholder but if you do continue this, go back and make sure everything is written by you!

Obviously the art style here is amazing in everyway possible but I'm incredibly impressed by the fact that yall got a proper working and fun card game done withinthe time constraint. Its unreal how polished and fun this ended up being and I think it all is elevated by the gorgeous art. Amazing effort!

UI is so good, gameplay is tight, everything feels so satisftying. No notes other than please make this into a full game with some proper level design. Certified banger.

Incredibly charming design and aesthetics. Game suffers from lack of tutorial but is otherwise really creative and fun once you get the hang of it. Do not stop making games, you clearly have a talent for it and this aesthetic is incredibly appealing!

So incredibly smooth and polished and such a unique take on the theme. I never thought a space invaders type game would fit this so my mind is completely blown. A lot of effort was put into polish it seems and every bit makes the game feel and play so well. Only addition that would make this perfect is a bit of a clearer tutorial! Maybe I'm just dumb but perhaps a little helper to explain the mechanics would add to the charm and look of the game.

Absolutely exceptional use of assets. Everything was put together perfectly and though my suggestions prior to the rating phase weren't added it doesn't detract from the overall game. I think you definitely brought your concept to life and made a very universally enjoyable game! I can see this being a full release on Steam after art and additional polish has been added!

Thought the overall execution of the concept was great and only have a few notes about polish. Screen transitions could be smoother, the backgrounds could do with some work, and changing the hitboxes on the ball may also make the gameplay feel a bit tighter. Overall though this was a really good effort and such a unique take on the theme!

I think the 3d nature hurts this more than it helps it. I really enjoyed the game play and the aim training vibe but really do think it would get more traction with a bit more of a unique artstyle given how common the idea is. Its still really good effort and the gameplay ended up being very tight I just think better design decisions could have been made!

Pros is that this is an incredibly tight game, very rewarding and a lot of effort clearly went into getting the movement down. The art serves the game well for what it is and the only thing I would say is missing is a tutorial! I think players catch on quickly how to play on the first level but it never hurts to break up the first level into constituent mechanics (i.e. wall jump, basic jump, etc.). Either way I really enjoyed this and can imagine it becoming a full release once art is done for it, very LIMBO meets SuperMeatBoy!

Not a fan of the actual gameplay loop but the art and things surround it are really nicely done. I just don't think this is the type of game which matches with the art style but nonetheless a very charming and beautiful game. Please keep making art!!

This is my pick to win the game jam. I really don't see how it doesn't. Everything from the art, to gameplay, to narrative just feels so damn tight and well thought out. Even more incredible is how this was made for within the time constraint!

Very inspired by Ultrakill in the best ways possible. Genuinely surprised this was able to be complete in such a short amount of time! Please stick to working on this even after the jam I feel like it would be such a good steam release.

Incredibly similar to the original idea I was going with but a completely different take! I abolsutely love this so much, the gameplay loop is super satisfying and the art is just amazing.

Such a gem of a game. I love the Maxor like graphics and flair and almost everything about this works so well. I think the theme could probably have fit a bit better and maybe mechanics could've centered on the countdown a bit more but otherwise really enjoyable short experience.

I think this was an extremely ambitious given the time frame but you've done incredibly well. The core mechanics are there and feel good even though they could be tightened up a bit (impact affects, shake, etc.) and the existing sounds I think should be changed for something more retro considering the rest of the theme. Please continue to develop this after the jam because it has such high potential!

The art is so good on this and I think the handrawn feel really adds to the goofiness of the whole game. The core loops is really enjoyable and I can find myself playing this for far too long. Really remeniscent of old school flash games! Great effort and incredibly polished!!

I think I reviewed this before the ratings opened and I'm glad my suggestions were taken in!! I could definitely see this becoming a fuller experience in a sarcastic/memefied type of game. Either way amazing effort and incredibly unique.

Its creative, enjoyable and the art is extremely well done under the time constraint. I think the only thing that needs fixing is the walls but I can see a mroe full game made using these assets. Please keep making games you clearly have a talent for the art, narrative writing and knowing just whats fun!

How did you make something this polished?? Its so good and I think you nailed the important parts for a rhythm game in a very short amount of time. Good effort!

I think it works really well as a minigame or loop thats part of a bigger narrative experience and I hope you continue working on it after the jam!

Incredibly fun game and the art style is just perfect for this type of game. Amazing use of the theme as well.

I thought this was really good but it needs a lot more polish to be rated higher. The feel is certainly there and good effort was put in, but if it was just cleaned up a bit more it would be an amazing game

This is such insanely high quality for a game jam amazing work!! Really loved the art and the combat felt very polished

Combat is super satisfying and the overall aesthetic is really cool. I think combat could just be a bit tighter with less drift in movement but otherwise amazing game!

Everything about this is so cool and I'm surprised its not recieved more love. The art is amazing and the game plays really tightly. Its clear a lot of effort was put into this!

The 1 bit style makes the game really. The gameplay feels tight and the overall aesthetic works so well to accompany it.

So incredibly creative and the use of art is really cool as well. Definitely one of the best produced in this jam

One of the few games that did absolutely everything right. Its a bit of everything and its super fun on top of it all.

I like how whimsical this game is, a bit clunky at bits but really silly and cool art

Thought this was incredibly charming and such a good use of assets. Fits the theme perfectly as well.

I really like the attempt at using the day and nights, that was pretty cool. The art is also really nice but there are definitely some graphical issues here and there that needs fixing. Otherwise a really enjoyable experience with a creative take on the theme.

Really enjoyed the art and the narrative though clicking was a bit difficult in some places

Really fun platformer and a somewhat original take on the theme. Feels really tight though and the overall game is very polished.

I think the idea of a football strategy game is really creative and I think this game stands out as quite unique amongst the other entries!

Really fun gameplay loop and very creatively on theme! Making shooters for jams is usually difficult so I admire the ambition and the quality of this!

If you get to the victory screen take a screenshot and send it to moh@gayraven.co.uk with two colours of your choice and I'll feature you in the full release!

thats 3 nights of no sleep and crippling perfectionism for ya

We actually fixed this and made a lot of attacks like the Clock Steal more telegraphed, so big thanks to this review for being so helpful <3
