Thanks! we had a lot of fun exploring puzzle design with the mechanics we built. If you have a chance to give it a whirl, we'd love to hear what you think!

My buddy and i were also first time jammers and we were really happy with how much we were able to create in such a short time frame! It has us motivated to take our idea, build upon it, enrich it, and eventually release on steam! We would love to get more feedback if anyone is interested in a metroidvania puzzler!
we wanted to build a small metroidvania puzzler about spreading light in the world! there are some elements that need some more polish, but i'm very pleased with the amount of game we were able to make. I think it's about 1 hour of gameplay for most players; more if you go for full completion. it was really fun working with my buddy as he was more motivated by the coding/implementation which let me have free reign over many of the creative elements. We would love feedback! (especially because we're planning to expand on it, polish it, and build it into an eventual steam release)
Haha, that's ok! i don't think any of our playtesters completed the main hall the intended way either. Regarding the ability to jump though fields of white blocks, we tried to mitigate some of that but you found a new way. well done!
giving more info about the number of npc's collected in different rooms is on our list of improvements, but we weren't able to accomplish it in the time constrains of the game jam.
Thanks for playing, providing feedback, and we really hope you enjoyed it!
and if you want a challenge, there are some other ways to shortcut your way to the end (though really, the main room spirit is more of a check point; we hope you enjoy the puzzling enough that the "end" is when you've had your fill of that)
