Hey friends! I downloaded your demo on Steam and tried to leave you a review but I literally can't find the box to do so on either the main page or the demo page. Could you please us any instructions on how to review it? It's very strange because I've written plenty of Steam reviews before but I just can't figure out where your review should go!

I am so grateful you respect Jane's neurodivergence. We really wanted her to be a protagonist who could believably be in a difficult situation where she's humiliated, harassed, and even persecuted for being "different" than others... but who also can use her unique thoughts and behaviors to rise above her tormenters and carve out a new life for herself. I'm so grateful you're interested in her story.
I love that you enjoyed the quiz too. XD Emily and I had a LOT of fun putting it together and what's STV without some clownery about apples? Glad you got Edmund as well - he's my favorite LI and such a sweet dork as well! <3
I am so thrilled to hear that! If you're a neurodiverse player who has ever felt mocked, belittled or even persecuted for thinking or acting in ways others don't understand, I think Jane is a protagonist you will really feel for. Thank you so much for trying out our game - I really hope it resonates with you!
Hi Nyx,
We unblocked you at 8:00 p.m. (edit for clarity: last night) when we were going through our twitter chores for the day. Please check to confirm that is correct for you. We've had some problems with inappropriate accounts labeled as spam by twitter and we are very sorry that you were blocked as an account in that label. Since your posts are public here, other people will be able to see if they are running into similar problems and anyone in that situation is free to contact us at contact @ bestlaidplans.net and share any error logs or information they have.
I'm so grateful for your support of our game, Cloudy_floof! You have been one of our first beta-testers and we really appreciate that you tested our game. We're so grateful that you enjoyed our game's mix of dark comedy, humor, horror - and yes, optional romance with our wonderfully quirky and sometimes sinister cast!
I really look forward to sharing more of our game with you... and yes, to going into how our game explores the intersections of class, gender, and race that can make someone like Lady Jane Neville (our original villainess) so easily hated by others.
I think our game taps into this core idea that a lot of people can relate to -- the idea that you can be labeled a villainess and considered bad or worth destroying just because you can’t fit into the society you’re in. I think many people can relate to the fear of being marked as a villainess/villain and experience people’s hatred or contempt because of who you are even more than what you do.
So one of the most poignant and touching parts of the villainess genre is when the stories probe into what makes a woman a villainess -- and how she can grow beyond that label despite people’s hatred and resentment... and I really look forward to exploring that core concept in later parts of Save the Villainess. I can't wait to share more with you!
Our apologies for mistaking your concerns. We have had a few trolls on twitter today because of our game's content and so have been more cautious than normal.
We are unsure why you are having such a degree of performance concerns. If you are receiving any error logs, please send them to our email address at contact @ bestlaidplans .net.
We will be further optimizing our game as we move towards release and we appreciate you letting us know where things are not working for you.
Thank you so much! We love the look of Kill the Villainess, and we think our blend of black comedy, romance, and murder-mystery is very similar to manhwa like Concubine Walkthrough, How to Survive as a Maid in a Horror Novel, and Beware the Villainess. If you have that sense of humor, I think you'll really enjoy our game. ;)
The demo and Kickstarter is up right now, my friend! :)

Congratulations on your demo release! I had so much fun playing this game and meeting your charming and quirky cast! Yunie is such a fun, lovable, and relatable character. I'm hoping she gets to live out her master detective dreams in the full game. Good luck and I look forward to supporting you on Kickstarter!
Thank you so much! I am so glad you love Regina on the cover of The Villainess Wants Her Prince to Live! She's such a fun, proactive villainess that I really hope you'll enjoy her antics. You can read about her on Royal Roads or on Archive of Our Own!
Congratulations on your demo release! I look forward to seeing more of this game later! Celeste is a very lovable character and I'm very intrigued by what kind of relationship she could have with Noah given how, ah, MIXED his feelings are.
Plus, I am thrilled to see another dev making an isekai game. So excited to see how this develops over time!
Thank you so much for the kind words! I am so excited to show you more villainess action in our upcoming demo this summer...
And our female love interest is amaaaaaaazing but I literally cannot say anything about her without giving away spoilers. You'll catch some interesting glimpses of her in the updated final demo though... glimpses that will show just how important she is to the story and to the villainess herself...
The work you've put into Silent Kingdom is stunnning. I cannot wait for the new CGIs!
I would suggest leaving up the demo because that way, people can get a taste for your game without buying it. On steam, if people buy your game and then refund, you *still owe Steam its 30% cut!!!* So you will lose money if people refund your game!
Of course, there's no way to keep all people from refunding your game but if you have a demo up, then some people might choose to play your game and just not buy/refund it if they don't like it for whatever reason. So it gives you a little extra barrier against a high refund rate (which again, is a pain because Steam will take its 30% cut even on refunded purchases).
And thanks also for the shout-out to the amazing games in our Itch.io bundle. I am so thrilled to be partnering up with you this summer to show our beautiful games off!
I love that you're creating an otome game that teaches people about otome games... and I know you're going to bring your insanely fun sense of humor to things as well!
Thanks also for that amazing shout-out to our Mystery & Magic Otome game cross-promo. It's such a pleasure to work with you - and I love the way you revised the banner also. The color scheme is so fun and looks great on your page!
