I’m a solo developer, and Floodlit is my game. I made it because I missed the old text-era football manager sims: quick, tense, and all about decisions. A full season should take under an hour, not a month.
Play it here: https://bestgabeever.itch.io/floodlit (it runs in the browser, with no account and no download)

What it is
- You manage a club in a four-tier pyramid of 92 fictional clubs, with promotion, relegation and play-offs.
- Matches run minute by minute with live commentary. You can change tactics, mentality and shouts, and make subs while it’s happening.
- Transfers, finances, scouting and a living league that carries on without you.
- A full season takes under an hour.

How it’s built
The whole game runs in your browser, with no server. The match engine is deterministic and seeded, so a whole world can be rebuilt from a seed, and every club, ground and player is fictional.
Skins
It follows your system’s light or dark mode. There’s also a bonus Teletext skin, because I couldn’t resist.

The demo
The demo covers the first half of your first season, up to the January window. The full game is coming soon, and your career will carry over when it lands.
I’d love to hear where the first 20 minutes lose you. Anything confusing, dull or broken, tell me here and I’ll reply to everything.
