Hello!

I woud like to share my game Zarechensk: The Town That Forgot

🏙️ What if an ordinary town was hiding something extraordinary?

Welcome to Zarechensk, a mysterious Russian town where familiar apartment blocks, quiet streets, abandoned buildings, and seemingly ordinary people conceal unsettling secrets.

Explore the town, talk to its residents, investigate strange events, and uncover a story that becomes increasingly mysterious as you progress.

What can you expect?

  • 🏙️ An atmospheric setting inspired by post-Soviet towns and architecture.
  • 🔍 Exploration, hidden secrets, and mysterious locations.
  • 📖 A story-driven adventure with unusual characters and unexpected discoveries.
  • ⚔️ RPG-style battles and character progression.
  • 🗺️ An explorable town with interconnected locations.
  • 🌍 English and Russian language support.

The game is free to play directly in your browser!

🎮 Play Zarechensk here:

I'm actively improving the game with new locations, illustrations, gameplay refinements, and quality-of-life updates.

This is an independent passion project, and I'd genuinely appreciate your feedback — especially on the atmosphere, exploration, story, and gameplay balance.

Thank you for checking it out!

Hi everyone! I’m Andrei, the creator behind Belovida Games, and I’d like to share Beyond the Self, my psychological visual novel.

What if your reflection knew more about you than you knew about yourself?

You play as an adult psychology student in Severograd, a fictional city inspired by Moscow. University life, friendships, and relationships gradually become intertwined with a mysterious world beyond the mirror.

Meanwhile, an investigation into a manipulative life coach forces the characters to confront uncomfortable questions about trust, guilt, and their own desire to control others.

The game includes:

  • A branching story with meaningful choices and multiple endings.
  • Romance, friendship, personal conflicts, and encounters with the characters’ hidden sides.
  • Atmospheric illustrations, music, puzzles, achievements, and an unlockable gallery.
  • English and Russian language options.

This project grew out of my interest in psychology, philosophy, and character-driven games. I’m especially interested in exploring what happens when wanting to help someone becomes wanting to decide for them.

You can play for free directly in your browser:

The game is still in development, and I’m continuing to improve the writing, translation, visuals, and reading experience.

If you give it a try, I’d love to hear which characters caught your interest—and whether any dialogue or choices felt confusing.

Thanks for reading!
